InvestComics Hot Picks – New Release Comics on 6/18/14

Important note here first:

ALL InvestComics material within the weekly Hot Picks is 100% authentic and original. If you see anything mentioned on the internet or on social media that is written here, it came from HERE. This article is from a pure speculation vantage point and is not researched, read about, and or borrowed from ANY website or social media outlet. Every thought, every recommendation, every prediction, every gain, every loss, everything is InvestComics. So when I inform you to buy up Namor comics a few months ago (In January – InvestComics Hot Picks #304), I had no idea that an article(s) would pop up regarding a possible Namor movie recently. Read the reasoning behind the speculation and you’ll understand that I am as authentic as they come. And then in the InvestComics #316 article it reads “…….Like Namor, yeah Namor. He’s going to be some sort of a factor. Be it now or in the not so distant future, but watch out for him. I’ve mentioned this before. This is a gut. Who knows…….?”  Namor was recommended a few more times after that and even before that too, so for those who ignored it, no biggie, you still have plenty of time before Marvel makes the official announcement whenever that may be (years).  You see, InvestComics is setting trends, breaking ground, making the “big guys”…….the “big” comic book websites take notice. Would they ever give credit where it’s due? No way. That would be too noble and unfortunately not everyone is as honest as I am. The aforementioned character is only a recent example of a plethora of characters I have speculated on and many, many of them have come to fruition, thus making some serious profits for speculators that have followed the website since its inception in 2005. More often than not these days there is another website or person taking credit from this article. Give kudos, give references, give the credit where it is due.

InvestComics is bucking the trend, setting the trend, altering the market if you will.  Even the latest Facebook group we are generating buzz – Investing in Comic books 101 (IC Poet Society) – right HERE. Speaking of buzz, we are on BuzzFeed, Yahoo, GPAnalysis (On site rss feed/Membership email blast), MyComicShop (weekly email blast), ComicWow, and countless others.

So what is the moral of this rant? Know that the source material you read week in and week out from THIS weekly article is coming from an ORIGINAL place; InvestComics. We truly are leading the way. And thanks to YOU.

Have you heard that Daredevil will be coming to a television screen near you soon? That’s if you’re buying into Netflix of course. And of course you knew about Daredevil, but what about his rouge gallery? He has a few you should definitely have those in your collection by now. Typhoid Mary is still affordable and that should without a doubt be picked up. She first appeared in Daredevil #254 (1988). On the more expensive side you can and should always buy Amazing Spider-Man #50 (1967) whenever you have a chance. Never pass up the Kingpin’s first appearance. Especially since Marvel/Netflix just announced the person for that role on the television show. No matter really, Amazing Spidey #50 is a winner with or without that show coming on.  So then you have Daredevil (2014 4th Series) #4 coming out this week. This issue will focus on the all new villain The Owl. This villain will probably and most likely appear on the Netflix show as well. Check out the Owl’s first appearance in Daredevil #3 (1964). The new Daredevil issue this Wednesday will also bring Foggy Nelson into the equation. Will Foggy be a part of the new show too? Probably, but you’ll have to fork down some serious dough to get his first appearance because it just so happens to be the first appearance of Matt Murdock himself in Daredevil #1 (1964). Like in the case of the Amazing Spider-Man #50 issue though, Daredevil #1 will always be in the buy market.

Batwoman (2011 2nd Series) #32 will bring Nocturna front and center in the new 52 universe. And just in case you’re wondering; Nocturna’s first appearance is in Detective Comics #529 (1983).

There is one knockout punch coming from Image Comics this week that you need to get and have fun with in the aftermarket; Wicked and Divine (2014) #1. The comic is completely sold out across the board. Regular and variants are sold out. So get em’ while they’re hot. MPH (2014 Image) #2 variants are gone. Look for second prints on this comic to follow soon.

1870697 1867874IDW will be in the black this new comic book day. Star Trek City on the Edge of Forever (2014) #1 is sold out and the Winterworld (2014 IDW) #1 variants are gone. Soon too will be the regular cover.  The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles star in an all new series; Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Turtles In Time (2014) #1. Sales look strong on this comic right now.

Dynamite Entertainment are showing some very strong sales with Doodle Jump (2014) #1. Doodle will most likely be sold out soon after its release.

Marvel promises to name a character from its’ 48 year history in Silver Surfer (2014 5th Series) #3. What does this mean exactly? Your guess is as good as mine, I have no idea.

Other debut comics to check out this week; Thomas Alsop (2014) #1, Regular Show (2013 Kaboom) Annual #1, Fathom (2013 Aspen 5th Series) Annual #1, and Wonderland Age of Darkness (2014) #1.

Invest wisely. Carpe Diem.
