New Judge Dredd Movie in the Works

I AM THE LAW! AND I AM IN 3D!

According to Deadline.com, haters of the Sylvester Stallone vehicle from 1995 can rejoice: there is a new Judge Dredd film in the works. On the other hand, this one will be in 3D.

Andrew Macdonald’s DNA Films has made a deal with India-based Reliance Big Entertainment and IM Global to finance Judge Dredd, a 3D film that was scripted by Alex Garland, and will be directed by Pete Travis, best known for Vantage Point and Omagh.

Apparently, this film will be a bit more faithful to the comic book version, which has been a fixture of the UK’s 2000AD magazine since 1977. He was created by John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra.
