Deadpool gets a couple of slots in this week’s Hot Picks article.
Domino will take over the Deadpool And The Mercs For Money team. Not only will she take over the team, but she’ll debut a new team too. Deadpool And The Mercs For Money #4 features the addition of Ape-Man and Hit-Monkey. Since InvestComics gave readers a heads up on the original team in January, in which several branched out into their own books as we predicted. One actually branching out to a cartoon. (See InvestComics Hot Picks  #409 for the first appearance of those characters and see the InvestComics Facebook page on the cartoon debuting one of the characters we were so eager on in January). So with all that we give you Ape-Man’s first appearance (1); Daredevil #10 (1965). The second Ape-Man first appearance (2); Daredevil #157 (1979). And of course, Hit-Monkey first appeared in Hit-Monkey #1 (2010).

Marvel has found success in their mash-up characters in the last couple of years. A mash-up from 2008 makes it’s way back in a big way this week. Venompool will debut in his own series; Deadpool Back In Black #1. Boy will the variant comics be a biggie in the aftermarket. Fanboys will pay top dollar for that graded variant more so. As far as Venompool. This will not be the first time he’s appeared. He first appeared in Cable & Deadpool #50 in 2008. A comic to keep an eye out on being that Marvel may want to up the ante on the Venompool character, which it looks like they are already doing with the debut of this new comic. There are plenty of variants to go around too. So many to choose from, but some more scarce than others. Our favs; The regular Salva Espin cover and Rob Liefeld variant. Writer Cullen Bunn and artist Salva Espin bring the mash-up of the week!

There are those rare times when a comic character actually equates better on screen (big or small) than it does on paper. Jessica Jones is that character. Yes yes we know about Brian Michael Bendis’ Alias, but that series hit the 28th issue and was done. Yes it won some Eisner awards, we get it, but truth be told, if the character was that strong, Marvel would have kept her series going to cash in, even if it was with some other creator. They would have started and restarted a Jessica Jones series like they do with so many other characters, but they never did. That says something. Marvel (Disney) loves making money and the money (interest) was simply never there for them to even care to notice and cash in. The Netflix show absolutely rocks and if you haven’t seen it, you should. Now with the new found interest in Jessica Jones Netflix series, Marvel will try to cash in now! See how this works? Enter Jessica Jones #1. The original team of the Alias comic series returns for this new series. Alias #1 (2001) was the first appearance of Jessica Jones. Brian Michael Bendis writes and Michael Gaydos pencils. This series will be great out of the gate, but will it lose steam once the honeymoon is over? Either way, it’s still going to be an enjoyable read right out of the gate. A definite without a doubt pick up comic this week. Read it, enjoy it. And the Mike Deodato Jr. variant cover gets a big thumbs up too!

Doctor Strange #12 brings back a villain that made his debut in 1962. He’s obviously made appearances since then, but we’re just pointing out that this character is an old one! Baron Mordo’s first appearance was in Strange Tales #111. Have you checked out the InvestComics Doctor Strange Checklist from June of 2015? Click HERE to get those last minute Doctor Strange books.

A slew of variant covers accompany the debut of Marvel’s Champions #1. A new ongoing team book. Marvel’s Champions originally debuted back in 1975’s The Champions #1. That team was old school and the team coming at us on Wednesday is for the millennial.
It looks a though another death may occur in a comic this week. This week it’s Amazing Spider-Man #19. Two cover standouts here too. One from Alex Ross and the other from Aaron Kuder.

DC will debut a new character in a new comic this week. Check out Shade The Changing Girl #1 debut in her own comic. This comic will be written by Cecil Castellucci and art by Marley Zarcone.
Deadman: Dark Mansion Of Forbidden Love #1 will begin a new bi-monthy mini-series. Written by Sarah Vaughn and art by Lan Medina.
It’s very hard to fathom for some reason that the character He-Man never crossed paths with the Thundercats team. Well this crossover actually becomes a reality this Wednesday with DC’s He-Man Thundercats #1. Written by Rob David and Lloyd Goldfine. Pencils by Freddie Williams II.
Speaking of team-ups, two characters get back together again for a new mini-series; Midnighter And Apollo #1.
A possible new villain may appear in Aquaman #8. Batman #8 continues the crossover event; Night of The Monster Men part 4. The story has been fun so far and the Tim Sale cover here is equally as fun.

A few number one issues to look for from Image Comics on Wednesday. Green Valley #1, Romulus #1, Cannibal #1, and Moonshine #1. The creative talent on Moonshine #1, Brian Azzarello (writer) and Eduardo Risso (artist) with a Frank Miller variant makes this comic….”shine” a bit from the others. See what we did there? Hmmm, yeah that was bad.
The cover of Spawn #266 reminds us of the 90’s. Look at that Erik Larsen cover. Spawn, Savage Dragon and Ant. Lovely.
Scout Comics has been killing it as of the past year. We’ve recommended every single Henchgirl comic since its inception and they have all sold out. If you have bought any of the early issues we recommended, you’ve made some serious cash back from these pick-ups in the aftermarket. You’re welcome! This week, Henchgirl #11 and the debut of the a new series; Girrion #1 from writer/artist Tom Lintern.
Speaking of an independent company bringing the goods, Titan Comics’ Hard Case Crime Triggerman #1 comes out.
After-Shock Comics debuts Shipwreck #1 from writer Warren Ellis and artist Phil Hester. This has winner winner chicken dinner all over it. Why the Sheen reference? No idea!

The second straight sell out book from Heavy Metal; Aftermath Big Clean #2.
Oni Press always puts out a great product and we love reporting on it. Angel City #1 from Janet Harvey (writer) and Megan Levens (art).

Not only will Betty Boop be getting her own comic on new comic book day, but there will be at least 9 variant covers coming along with it. Does Dynamite Entertainment know something we don’t know? Betty Boop #1 has the appeal for a younger female audience, why do we need 9 variants again? Is that demo that large that they need to appeal to a young girl wanting to buy all 9+ covers? Just asking? No hate what’s so ever here at all! Just asking…..Oh and we didn’t even talk about the 5 variant covers (including a blank!) for Homies #1. No really, we didn’t make that up. Homies #1; coming to a comic shop near you on 10/5. If those two releases coming from Dynamite do not tickle your fancy, maybe the debut of an original Kung-Fu character/series Intertwined #1 will get your attention. Brought to you by writer Fabrice Sapolsky and artist Fred Pham Chuong.

Rounding out the week, Death Of Hawkman #1 (DC Comics), writer Marc Andreyko and artist Aaron Lopresti and Disney Kingdoms Enchanted Tiki Room #1 (Marvel).

HUGE Hot Picks List. DC Comics runs the table this week with their 3D extravaganza, but more on that in a bit……

Okay don’t mean to rehash, but there is a reason here. Stick with me…..A couple of weeks ago when Warner Brothers announced the signing of Ben Affleck as the latest man to don the cowl, the internet basically broke in pieces of whining fanboys. I can say honestly, I haven’t witnessed an outcry like this in a while. Well since the last major announcement of a superhero casting. Say Jamie Foxx, Paul Giamatti, and on and on. I could not believe that I read about a petition being set up to have Ben Affleck removed as Batman. It’s an absolute travesty that fanboys will go this far, or even complain as much as they have in the first place. This is what Warner Brothers decided. There is no changing it. Get a grip, move on. The out lash was so compelling to me that I decided to create a new Facebook page called Affleck as Batman – I’m On Team Ben. If you are a supporter of Ben Affleck as Batman, you should get over to that page and tell any of your friends as well. If not, well that’s fine! You’re entitled to your opinion, but please do not make a fool of yourself. So why do I bring this up today you may ask? I had a few moments to put together a fun 52 second video regarding fanboys that feel compelled to cry about everything. It was done out of fun, no malicious intent here so chill. Watch the video and pass it around. Maybe it will give that whiny fanboy a wakeup call that the world is not going to collapse around them because of a casting for a superhero movie. Get over it.

InvestComics has booked their flight to New York Comic Con 2013! This trip will include a first. An InvestComics team! Rafael Rosario of Ratchet City Comics will be accompanying InvestComics as a Press member. This is a big deal folks. This means more interviews, more coverage, and best of all….more prizes!

….And a couple of news items are coming down the pike from InvestComics soon so stay close to the vest via the InvestComics Newsletter and InvestComics Facebook page!

Let’s be honest here, DC Comics is doing a tremendous job with their money grab. Give them credit here. One thing many have to have to understand is that DC Comics is a business and they do not care what fans think. They really don’t. This is a business first business. Do not kid yourselves into believing that the fans make an iota impact in their decision making. If it did, well the New 52 would never have been. Case in point this week with the 3D cover gimmick. Most readers and collectors haven’t seen the likes of this type of gimmick since the 90’s glow in the dark covers. Fun stuff! So the question here is, does the gimmick destroy the content on the inside? Well that’s for each individual to decide for themselves. What is known about this gimmick is that fans are eating it up like candy! Every single 3D cover is SOLD OUT! That’s right folks! SOLD OUT!

So what does this mean to you? Well this means that if you want to make some serious cash, this would be a fine time to do so. Two things to do here to make the most bang for your buck. One; grab the most popular 3D “character” cover and get it graded by CGC. A high grade is extremely important here. Two; after you get the most “popular”, try to figure out through the numbers game (Diamond Distributors) which comic received the lowest print run. This will be a quick sale for you right now, but in the long haul, you should hold onto one because when the aftermarket settles down, it’s the “rare” book everyone loves. Again, the only way you maximize your monies here is with a very high grade.

Here at InvestComics, I decided to have some fun and look at each individual 3D cover and pair it up with the first appearance of the villain takeover. Scroll through the covers and see them side by side, pretty awesome. So without further ado in alphabetical order………

DC 3D Comics 9-4-13

[scrollGallery id=293]

Forever Evil #1Action Comics (2011 2nd Series) #23.1 features a Cyborg Superman takeover. Cyborg’s first (not Hank) is in Adventures of Superman #466 (1990).

Batman (2011 2nd Series) #23.1 has a Joker cover, and his debut of course came in Batman #1 (1940).

Batman and Robin (2011 2nd Series) #23.1 – Two-Face cover, his first is in Detective Comics #66 (1942).

Batman The Dark Knight (2011 2nd Series) #23.1 has a Ventriloquist takeover – her first; Detective Comics #583 (1988), with art by Norm Breyfogle and cover by Mike Mignola, very nice.

Detective Comics (2011 2nd Series) #23.1 – Poison Ivy cover – her debut; Batman #181 (1966).

Earth 2 (2012 DC) #15.1 – Desaad cover – First appearance; Forever People #2 (1971), Jack Kirby nuff’ said.

Flash (2011) #23.1 – Grodd – Debuted in Flash #106 (1959).

Green Arrow (2011 4th Series) #23.1 with Count Vertigo; first appeared in World’s Finest #251 (1978).

Showcase #73Green Lantern (2011 4th Series) #23.1 – Relic. First appearance in Green Lantern #21 (2013)

Justice League (2011) #23.1 – The BEST of the 3D bunch right here. The villain of all DC villains – Darkseid! Refer back to the InvestComics article ‘InvestComics Hot Pick: Single Issue – Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen #134’ to better understand just how important Darkseid is in the DC Universe.

Justice League Dark (2011) #23.1 – The Creeper first appeared in Showcase #73 (1968). Created by Legend Steve Ditko!

Justice League of America (2013 3rd Series) #7.1 – Deadshot first appeared in Batman #59 (1950). A highly underrated character.

Superman (2011 3rd Series) #23.1 – Bizarro debuted in Superboy #68 (1958).

So that’s all of the 3D madness this week for you. The one comic that will claim responsibility for the villain takeover this week would be Forever Evil (2013 DC) #1. Although with Geoff Johns at the helm here, probably talking a great storyline folks, but as far as monetarily in a few years? Forever Evil #1 will not command much at all, neither will many of these 3D books. Do not hold onto these for long term investments, you will get burned. This is a gimmick upswing; the collector needs to monitor the aftermarket here to make the most on their profits. Stay close to the market, check often and dump when the time is right.

InvestComics Hot Picks 9-4-13

[scrollGallery id=294]

So what else is going on in DC land this week? How about Batman Black and White (2013) #1? All variants for this particular comic are SOLD OUT. With various star artist and writers on this book, and coupled with some spectacular variant covers these comics will do very well in the aftermarket. Get your hands on these. Also from DC we get a royal rumble of sorts; DC Universe vs Masters of the Universe (2013) #1. There are plenty of copies available still, but boy this is going to be a fun comic.

With DC Comics running the table this week, there are a few Marvel Comics to check out and an Indie book NOT to be missed! More on that Indie book in a little bit.

Marvel will bring Spider-Man 2099 back this week in Superior Spider-Man (2012) #17! Spidey 2099 first came onto the scene in Spider-Man 2099 #1 (1992). However, this week with Superior Spider-Man #17 making the 2099 comeback a big deal, the variants have SOLD OUT. Once again, get your hands on these beautiful variants. They have upside here. Spidey 2099 will be popular once again, so don’t miss the train.

A major X-Men crossover event begins this week (coincidence I think not). Check out X-Men Battle of the Atom (2013) #1 and guess what? Every single variant here is SOLD OUT! ….While the covers are gorgeous, no longevity here in the aftermarket. This is just another crossover event that will probably get many fanboy panties in a bunch anyway.

Venom (2011 Marvel) #40 will focus on the new character Mania. Check HER out. And rounding out Marvel this week; Avengers A.I. (2013) #3 will debut a new world named The Diamond.

Speaking of diamond……..

Anyone remember what happened when Star Wars #1 was released a few months back? Yes, it went nuts in the aftermarket. How about Dark Horse going with Star Wars (2013 Dark Horse) Lucas Draft #1 this week? All variants on this comic are SOLD OUT. This comic is the “rough draft” of the original screenplay of the movie. Seems like a little bit of fluff here, but we’re in! This will be an Indie book not to be missed this week! Here are a few more Indie’s to check out this week; Invincible (2003) #105 solicit reads that this is a big jumping on point if you’d like, Codename Action (2013 Dynamite) #1 (All variants SOLD OUT), Reality Check (2013 Image) #1 (Lots of copies left here, but Image Comics has been of fire as of late), Hit (2013 Boom Studios) #1 (Not many copies left to be had), Mocking Dead (2013 Dynamite) #1 (Same here, not many copies left), and Love Stories To Die For (2013 Image) #1 (Cover A sits with only 9 copies in the warehouse while there are plenty of cover B’s).

Whew!! That’s a big week!

This article is used as a guide for investments and entertainment purposes. Any opinions or expression of investments should be used as a judgement upon the investor, not InvestComics. There’s a movie coming out this Friday, something about this dude from Krypton, his planet is about to become dust, sent to earth to live amongst man as an extraordinary being, raised by ma & pa because his parents are dead ……oh wait, that’s not the movie coming out this Friday. Yes the Man of Steel will come this Friday with a different twist on things. As we can see from the trailer and many spoilers around the net, Supes biological daddy is still very much alive throughout this movie. Maybe because it’s Russell Crowe? Remember how much of a bad ass he was in Gladiator? He’s a tough dude! (Soapbox time coming up! MY opinion, so calm down, this is America and we are allowed to have opinions) There are many other plot lines swirling around that I will not get into here, but here is the bottom line folks. Deal with it. Quit the fanboy stuff and just deal. So what there is a movie with an iconic character that no longer wears red underwear, but now wears an armor suit. So what that it looks “darker” than the character you knew for most of your adult life. So what he doesn’t sport the curl in his hair. So what, so what, so what. Just handle the fact that things will be different now and accept it. Change is good, it’s healthy. What were some people expecting exactly? The same mundane Superman movie that we have seen film after film? I for one welcome that change, always will. It’s good to think outside the box and not stay tucked away in that safe place. Breakout! Good for Zach Synder (Director) for taking a different approach to a stale character. So bring it Warner Bros. because this is your LAST shot at possibly ever producing that Justice League of America movie most of us are waiting for. This movie will define the rest of the superhero genre for DC/WB moving forward. If it does well, then the fun is just beginning!! If it does okay, subpar, tanks, then the likelihood of ever seeing Batman and Superman sharing the screen together may and probably will never happen. So kick some butt Superman, the DC Universe is counting on you!!

This week in conjunction with the Man of Steel release, DC Comics will bring the new Superman title Superman Unchained (2013 DC) #1. This is a big deal folks. It will be a well scripted series (hopefully) as well as a well-drawn one. It brings together two big guns to the table; Scott Snyder and Jim Lee. No explanation or kudos needed here really, except that Scott has brought the Batman title to new heights and Lee brought Superman to another level a few years back with his artistry of the character, too much of the delight of fanboys everywhere. Many fans remember Lee’s Superman run beginning in issue #203 (pinups) or even the iconic second print of #204, but it was a year prior that Lee first penciled Superman in Action Comics #800. The New Superman era is beginning (again) this Wednesday, except it.

Another iconic character gets a makeover job from the aforementioned writer that promises to change your thinking on Superman. Scott Snyder will forever change the way we think of Batman (try to) in Batman (2011 2nd Series) #21 “Zero Year.” The NEW origin of Batman begins here. Most of us will always have the vision of Bruce’s parents lying in some alleyway dead with little Bruce between them. Just like we know that Krypton blew up and there were no survivors. Those idea’s (origins) will never change in our minds. They’re embedded in there. But for the sake of rolling with things here, excepting that change is a’comin, there isn’t much fans can do about any of this. DC wants to do this and they will. Stop your whining.

….And the last of the Scott Synder books this week is American Vampire The Long Road To Hell (2013) #1. We all love vampire’s, we all love Scott, but a $6.99 price tag for a one shot may keep some away.

DC throws out an origin issue of a He-Man character named Hordak; Masters of the Universe The Origin of Hordak (2013) #1. DC really is pushing this He-Man stuff huh? Anyway if you interested, Hordak’s first appearance is in He-Man and She-Ra; Secret of the Sword (1984). It was a freebie comic from Mattel toys.

Guardians of the Galaxy (2013 3rd Series) #3 pays respect to the Wolverine #1 (1982) cover by Frank Miller. No significance here, other than that the issue will lead up to “another” Marvel event (yawn). Steve McNiven rocks the Rocket Raccoon cover. Check out the side by side in the slideshow. Awesome stuff! Also from Marvel, Venom (2011 Marvel) #36 will introduce a new character. That’s always an alert!

A hoard of number one issues to definitely check out this week. Bubblegun (2013 Aspen) #1 looks like a lot of fun. Big Dog Ink continues their great books and Serusis (2013 Big Dog Ink) #1 is their latest offering. Thumbprint (2013 IDW)  #1 will be a sleeper, don’t miss this. Ehmm Theory (2013 Danger Zone) #1 looks very interesting. Dark Horse brings Breath of Bones A Tale of the Golem (2013 Dark Horse) #1 (awesomeness) and True Lives of The Fabulous Killjoys (2013 Dark Horse) #1 this Wednesday. It’s said that monkey’s and or gorilla’s on a cover of a comic book sell well, so BOOM! Studios deliver’s guns and monkey’s this Wednesday; Six Gun Gorilla (2013 Boom) #1. Lovely! Independent publisher Danger Zone; Ghost Town (2013 Danger Zone) #1 should be checked out. The Crow’s latest installment from IDW and James O’barr; Crow Curare (2013 IDW) #1 comes out.

Finally, the InvestComics love affair with the X character from Dark Horse continues this week with the second issue; X (2013 Dark Horse) #2. Don’t sleep on this character. It’s going to the next breakout for Dark Horse.

Welcome to the InvestComics Hot Picks for new comic releases on 1-30-13.

Well the news has come out and boy is the aftermarket a’buzzing! Much thanks to Sebastian Piccione of InvestComics and the awesome video review show FFFIC on the InvestComics YouTube channel, if you followed his instructions you would have been picking up the Sixth Gun comic a long long time ago. NBC has partnered up with the creators; Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt to begin a pilot for them. This is great news if you’re already an owner of the Sixth Gun #1 issue from Oni Press. Why you ask? Do you really have to ask? Well here’s the scoop. On Ebay right now, a seller has 2 number one issues in VF condition no less selling for $90+!! The comics are probably well past that price point since this was as of 2 days ago. Well here’s the question to ask, do I buy? Well here’s the thing with these types of comics. I say “types” because it’s really just a hot item right now because of the announcement from NBC and the fact it may be a successful show (see Walking Dead). Now the other question comes into play, how much is too much? Well a graded copy of Walking Dead #1 sold recently for $10,000. If you’re a regular reader of this column, you’d know that as a collector I personally think that paying that much for a graded Walking Dead number one is absurdity at its finest. Zombie movies, comics, stories are not a new thing. This too shall fade away eventually, leaving that buyer that spent 10 grand on a book that will be worth a third of that in given time. The same may apply to the Sixth Gun. While a spectacular comic and story, the quick bump in the pricing market may be because of the possible outcome of the show and its future. It’s a tricky/dicey bet here to go out and buy high on this comic right now ($50+ range?). The best advice to offer here may seem like a copout, but it’s the most honest. Go with your gut on this. Here are the positives here to help you along; the story itself has never really been done before, making for a fresh take on something “new” as oppose to something “old”. It has potential for a franchise in the sense that the six guns are always to be sought after for their powers, thus making for a constant chase, thus for making for constant story, thus making for constant potential. The negatives are quite simple here. What if the story does not translate to the small screen? The pilot is a flop and you are left holding a $50+ comic in your hands with no aftermarket value. The risk is big here. $50+ is not something you want to just blow away on such uncertainty. I will leave you with one certainty however. There are only 3 CGC graded Sixth Guns #1 issues out there at the moment. If you think you may own a good 9.8 or higher grade, send it off to CGC right away. If you score a 9.8 or higher (hope hope) you will then triple your money in the aftermarket. Or you may want to hold onto it and wait for A: the market to heat up some more (which probably will) Or B: wait for the good reviews (maybe/maybe not) to come in regarding the pilot. Bottom line, go with your gut, it’s usually never wrong.

Let’s move along to the new Marvel and DC Universe’s. As said countless times here on the InvestComics Hot Picks; the best thing about the restarts/relaunch of these two companies is the influx of new heroes and villains as well as the returning/revamps of some of them. This week Marvel’s Avengers (2012 5th Series) #4 gives us the origin of Hyperion. Hyperion first appeared in the original Avengers series (1963). The issue was Avengers #69 (1969). The value here is at the $80 mark. Not too bad for a character that hasn’t really been “A rated”. Here’s a nice nugget though; only 100 total copies sit out there graded and only 5 are in the 9.8 spot. If you can muscle away a very nice non graded copy (9.8 – good luck, not an easy task), you’d be able to flip it for some decent change.

Another non- listed A rated character makes his long awaited return (who was really wanting on this guy anyway?). Dark Avengers (2012 Marvel) 2nd Series #186 sets the return of…..ready?? U.S. Agent! Okay so maybe not the biggest star in the sky, but he’s a cool dude! Check out Captain America #323 (1986) for his debut. The CGC market doesn’t really have many of these copies graded at the moment. Only 21 graded with a top heavy 6 issues in the 9.8 category. Not so bad here if you think you can score a 9.8 at $4, send it off and try to flip it by upselling it on Ebay. Not that hard of an issue to find.

X-Men Legacy #5 will introduce two new villains. Yay, more bad guys….gals. Whichever.

DC’s Flash (2011) #16 will introduce a major new villain. Good for Flash because his rouge gallery is not that impressive anyways. Justice League Dark (2011) #16 will debut a new character.

DC feels it necessary to give He-Man his own origin book this week. Masters of the Universe The Origin of He-Man (2013) #1 gives us an awesome cover though doesn’t it? If you feel like you’re in the hunting mode, look for the debut of He-Man in Masters of the Universe from Mattel (1981). Good luck finding that in NM condition.

And finally from DC, we have Batman The Dark Knight (2011 2nd Series) #16 coming out this week with debut penciler Ethan Van Sciver. We don’t have to get into how much Ethan’s pencils are boss. This guy can flat out draw. With Ethan on the new Bat book, it got me thinking of where Ethan’s earliest Batman art occurred. It brought me way back to 2001 Justice Leagues: JL? #1. What’s up with the title? Anyway, if you want Ethan’s first(?) Batman work you can probably find it hiding in a long box someplace for a buck. If you want to make a quick buck, you pair up the latest Ethan Batman with his “first Batman” and sell that on Ebay as a pair. Send me at least 7%. Thanks.

Image Comics will release Invincible (2003) #100. Expect instant sellouts on this book. More so there is a golden nugget here that will pay very high dividends if you are able to score it. With the release of the modern day Peter Parker like character comic, there will be 9 variant covers. There will be one in particular you will need to grab in order to make an almost guarantee profit. The Ryan Ottley wraparound Sketch Cover will be a cool $85 when it comes out. Look for the aftermarket to command more than the $85 you spent on it….quickly. If you feel so inclined, you may want to get it graded to make even more money. This fans is the variant to get!

On the cosmetic front we have Spawn (1992) #227 coming out. Todd McFarlane continues his very smart money grab here and continues to pay homage to various famous comic covers. Todd pays homage to himself this week with the copying of Amazing Spider-Man #300. Todd is still great and a smart business man within the comic book industry. Not so much baseball, but comics. Sorry Todd! We still love ya!

Be sure to check out an interesting title from Dark Horse this week; Emily and the Strangers (2012 Dark Horse) #1.

That’s it for now. Remember to listen to the newest and greatest Podcast ever! Breaking the 4th Wall brought to you by InvestComics. Shaun Cobble & Shaun Sorenson are doing their thing; listen in to maybe start winning some prizes too! And also the weekly video comic book review show; FFFIC! Watch that each week. This past week Ernest Mesa won a signed Mark Bagley autograph! What creator autograph will be next? Stay tuned and find out!

See you next week, invest wisely.
