Best New Comic Covers This Week 2-11-26

DC K.O. #4 by Mike Del Mundo places three figures walking forward through a stone archway, backlit by an almost blinding golden glow. Batman is identifiable on the left by silhouette alone, Wonder Woman on the right with her sword in hand, and Superman moving forward with flames consuming his hands and feet. The figures are intentionally shadowed, letting posture and outline do the storytelling instead of facial detail. Del Mundo uses light as the real subject here, with the glow behind them suggesting consequence rather than victory. It feels less like a triumphant moment and more like a crossing point, which is exactly the type of ambiguity that tends to stick with collectors long after release week.
Marc Spector: Moon Knight #1 by E.M. Gist. This cover is a tight, claustrophobic composition showing Moon Knight bound and restrained, wrapped in bandages, clutching crescent blades across his chest. The stone walls around him are carved with ancient symbols, giving the impression that he’s either imprisoned in a tomb or awakening inside something far older than himself. His glowing eyes are the only real source of energy in the piece, cutting through the muted browns and grays. This cover leans heavily into Moon Knight’s mythological side rather than his street-level persona, and it looks like something pulled straight from an artifact case rather than a modern comic rack.
Venom #254 by David Nakayama is a full-face close-up that leaves no room to breathe. Venom’s jagged teeth dominate the lower half of the image, saliva stretching between them, while the massive yellow eyes fill the upper portion. Reflected inside one eye is a smaller figure, framed almost like a target, giving the cover a predator-versus-prey feel. Nakayama keeps the background minimal and lets sharp color contrast and clean lines do the work. It’s a very controlled, very intentional image designed to grab attention instantly, the kind of Venom cover that reads clearly from across a shop.
Venom #254 by Jhony Caballero strips things down even further, presenting Carnage in a full-body pose against a solid red background. The symbiote is crouched low, limbs extended, tendrils whipping outward in every direction. The lack of environmental detail forces all attention onto motion and anatomy. Caballero exaggerates Venom’s proportions, especially the hands and feet, making the character feel feral and unstable. This cover doesn’t try to be pretty or clever, it’s about raw energy, and that simplicity is often what makes variants like this quietly memorable.
W0RLDTR33 #19 by Leandro Fernández shows a lone female figure standing atop a pile of broken technology and debris, holding a firearm skyward. The background is washed out and pale, almost dust-covered, giving the entire scene a p ost-collapse atmosphere. Her stance is casual but alert, suggesting survival rather than heroics. The vertical, glitch-like typography running along the side adds to the unsettling tone without overpowering the art. Fernández has a habit of making his covers feel like moments after something terrible has already happened, and this one fits that pattern perfectly.
Wade Wilson: Deadpool #1 by Geoff Shaw is a classic head-and-shoul ders composition with Deadpool front and center, crossing two blood-splattered swords in front of his chest. Guns and ammo rise behind him in symmetrical fashion, framing the character without cluttering the image. Shaw keeps Deadpool’s expression tight and controlled rather than exaggerated, giving the cover a serious edge despite the character’s reputation. It feels like a deliberate reset image for a new series, familiar enough to be instantly recognizable but sharp enough to feel purposeful instead of throwaway.
