Bruce Campbell: Major Role in Spider-Man 4

Though he has had a cameo in each of the first three Spider-Man films, Evil Dead star Bruce Campbell will reportedly have a major role in the next Spidey flick.

In an interview with Access Hollywood at the premiere of his new movie, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Bruce Campbell revealed that he will have a major role in the upcoming Spider-Man, which begins filming in 2010. Cambpell does not know the character he plays yet, but has been assured that it is a major part.

Many are speculating that Campbell could play the role of villain Mysterio, though the villains for the movie have not yet been announced. Campbell and director Sam Raimi have had a notable Hollywood bromance since the cult classic Evil Dead trilogy.

Of course, Macho Man Randy Savage, in his anti-Hulk Hogan rap masterpiece "Be a Man" from the album of the same name, referred to his own role as Bonesaw in the original Spider-Man as a "Feature Role," so fans of Maniac Cop should wait until Campbell’s actual role is revealed before getting too excited.
