It looks as though DC Comics will begin a new push for a character that was introduced back in 2011. Catwoman #23 introduced comic fans to the (NEW) Joker’s Daughter. Appearing in about 40 comics since 2011, she last appeared in 2016’s Red Hood/Arsenal #13 before popping up again in last month’s Nightwing #56. She’ll be in this week’s Nightwing #57 and appearing in two(?) more issues thereafter. Writer Scott Lobdell and artist Travis Moore are responsible for the return. With many of DC’s female characters doing well, most recently the semi-hit of Lobo’s Daughter (Crush), it’s no wonder why Joker’s Daughter may come back into the fold. With today’s comic speculation modern market being so over the top, it’s a bit surprising the Catwoman #23 issue is so affordable. Yes, it’s not the actual first time she uses the “Joker’s Daughter” name, but the almighty graded companies say “1st appearance of Joker’s Daughter’ in the upper righthand corner, so that’s the gospel no matter what anyone says. We (InvestComics) have said for years (opinion, no fanboy mail please) that Incredible Hulk #180 is the book, not 181, but THEY say otherwise, so it is what it is. Other then the speculation nonsense, as said, DC’s making their move with the Joker’s Daughter and she’ll be trending sooner rather then later. Just like TPC stated within the last 3 weeks that The Batman Who Laughs will be a bigger character then some may think, DC announced last week they have huge plans for the character, with a major story line spanning its universe. Yep.
High Level #1 from DC. Writer Rob Sheridan and artists Romulo Fajardo and Barnaby Bagenda.

Back in 1985, Nightcrawler was a hot commodity for about a hot minute. Much to do with the mini-series from Dave Cockrum. He wrote, penciled and inked the book. His wife Paty colored it. Nightcrawler’s next mini-series didn’t arrive until 2002. Well, he appeared in one book as a solo player. Four books, four different X-Men. He was in book two. He went on to appear in two other series; 2004 and 2014. The moral of this information? Marvel has thought Nightcrawler is a cool character but wouldn’t hold his weight in an on-going solo title. If he was entitled to a solo act, well, he would have gotten one by now. This all changes this Wednesday. Age Of X-Man: The Amazing Nightcrawler #1. The dubious task is all Seanan McGuire’s (writer) and Juan Frigeri’s (artist) to prove NOW is the time for a Nightcrawler solo series. Maybe it is. Check it out. Love the “Amazing” title there too.

A NEW Thanos is making his way into Guardians Of The Galaxy #2. Find out who it is this week. Donny Cates and Geoff Shaw.
A new villain could be in the mix in Miles Morales: Spider-Man #3.
Get a bit of the back story as to how and why Wolverine was appearing in places around the Marvel Universe before his grand entrance. Wolverine goes cosmic in Wolverine: Infinity Watch #1. Gerry Duggan and Andy McDonald.
In what has to be one of the silliest titles for a comic since “Totally Awesome Hulk”, comes Hulkverines #1. Pretentious. Although probably an action packed cool as* comic, written by fan favorite Greg Pak and art by Ario Anindito. This will be a fun book. The covers alone will have fanboys all excited.
Romance comics probably do not appeal too much to the male demo, but Marvel’s Love Romance #1 has one very appealing reason to take a look-see. Her name is Gail Simone and she’ll be one of the writers. Gail Simone is the sh*tnizel. She writes her as* off. The end.

Antarctic Press is kicking some as*. Punchline #4 is delivered this week to an almost (already?) sold out on the distributor level situation. So, what this means is, when there are no more on the shelf at your local comic shop, you’re waiting for the second print. Don’t be a slowpoke. Chop-chop.
Mark Millar’s Sharkey, The Bounty Hunter #1 (mini-series) is showing promise at the cash register already. Looking for a sell out here as well. Illustrator Simone Bianchi.
