Female Force Graphic Novel Featuring Obama, Clinton, Palin, and Kennedy Bios in Stores Wednesday!

Female Force Volume I, a trade paperback containing the first four issues of the popular biography comic book series will be available at comic shops and newsstands on October 14.

The collection includes the unabridged issues featuring Hillary Clinton, Sarah Plain, Michelle Obama, and Caroline Kennedy.  Additionally, the 96-page anthology contains an updated version of the Sarah Palin issue that addresses her resignation announcement as Alaska’s governor in July. The issue originally was published in February 2009.

“Each of these women has a powerful life story to share,” said Bluewater president Darren Davis. “And each has made a significant contribution to the political and cultural landscape.”

A new cover by artist Vinnie Tartamella, who has been responsible for many of the individual issue cover likenesses, features all four women.

Female Force offers a broad examination of strong and influential women who are shaping modern history and culture. Each woman featured in the trade paperback will include alternate cover drawings.

“We are thrilled with the reception of these bio comics. We know that this trade paperback anthology is only the first of many volumes to come,” Davis added.

The comic book series, launched earlier this year, has drawn considerable media attention, including features on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, and “Live with Regis and Kelly.” It has also been featured in such periodicals as People Magazine, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, USA Today and thousands of blogs and other media outlets.

The suggested retail price (SRP) for the upcoming trade paperback is $15.99.

Pre-ordering is currently available at several outlets and bookstores using the ISBN #: 978-1-4276-3858-8

Female Force individual issues are also available on Amazon.com, where they have been ranked among the site’s top 20 books.
