Hickman Talks Secret Warriors

Hickman talks about Secret Warriors in an interview, including mentioning an ending for his run.

Many may be afraid to venture into the web domain of Nurama for fear of severe viral infection, but that didn’t stop Outhouse Correspondent Chap22, who brought back the following news from an interview with Jonathan Hickman (click at your own risk – NuRama has had a lot of problems recently with viruses on their ad network which they are currently working on resolving).

Hickman talks about the end of his involvement on the series, or perhaps the series itself:

"We’re only going to do around 20 or 30 issues of Secret Warriors
overall, down from my original plan of 60 issues."

He also talks about the difficulties in getting a Nick Fury book off the ground:

I can’t really speak to why other Fury books that haven’t succeeded. That’s not a comment on the quality of those books – just where the market has been.

I think Nick Fury is a little difficult depending on what’s going on in the world. There are times when espionage is a relevant topic in the news, and since that’s what his gig is he seems to work best during those times. Right now happens to be a real opportune time for espionage; not quite perhaps to the height it was a couple years ago, but it’s still fresh in people’s minds.

He also promises a Steve Rogers guest appearance in the near future.
