InvestComics Hot Picks – New Release Comics on 12/17/14

As stated in previous weeks, there are big changes coming to the InvestComics platform. Changes that will benefit the collector in all ways possible. It’s been a 9 year run (going on 10 years) that InvestComics has giving the speculator/reader a platform like no other web site on the internet. There are a lot of sites that have popped up over the past few years/months/weeks that have tried to duplicate the InvestComics lure, but fall short because we have the library of information provided for so many years. If you don’t take yourself so seriously, enjoy the modern/bronze age speculative/reading aspect of collecting, then you will enjoy what is to come. Stay tuned.

Coming up on the holiday season here. A very busy life calls for a less busy InvestComics Hot Picks! This doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of comics to read and speculate on for your own liking. Check out what made our list though…..

All New Captain America #2 will continue to focus on the character Nomad. It’s just a matter of time before we see this dude in a movie right? Probably not, maybe, who knows?! Anyhow, here is a small checklist (you know InvestComics has LOTS of checklist too!) on the character Nomad.

Nomad_First_Appearances_InvestComics

Nomad’s first appearance was in Captain America #180 (1974) as Steve Rogers. Captain America #261 (1981); Edward Ferbel, Captain America #1 (2013); Ian Rogers. And Jack Monroe; Captain America #282 (1983). So the question to ask yourself now is, should I buy these? Well, all of these first appearances are very affordable. You won’t lose any money and Captain_Marvel_10_InvestComics Ms_Marvel_1_InvestComicsyou’ll get great stories to boot. The answer to your question is simple. Yes.

Another Captain to look out for this week is Captain Marvel. Ever since the Captain Marvel movie announcement, Captain Marvel has been extremely hot in the aftermaket. Captain Marvel #10 will have a very cool cover that pays homage to the original appearance of Carol Danvers from Ms. Marvel #1 (1977). Marvel is celebrating the 100th solo issue with the tribute cover. The best part of this “very cool cover” is that it’s not a variant. Regular cover here!

And speaking of variants and homage covers, how about Spider-Woman #2? The obvious money grab from Marvel is stated right on the cover! Stay classy Marvel. Anyway, this “nothing to do with Spider-Woman” cover borrows from the famous Amazing Spider-Man #129 (1974) (Punisher’s first appearance of course). This variant will be cover price on Wednesday. Will it stay that way for long? Maybe not given the fact Rocket Raccoon is so popular these days and Amazing_Spider-Man_129_InvestComics Spider_woman_Rocket_raccoon_investcomicsit’s a great tribute cover.

Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man #8 promises a mind blowing event. Readers will find out what is behind the Miles Morales legacy and who Miles’ daddy is.

Red Hood and the Outlaws #37 will reveal the secret history of Roy Harper and Oliver Queen, so fans of those two will want to check this out.

The speculative market does not remain all that quiet with new releases from Image Comics. The red hot Wytches will continue its torrid pace with Wytches #3 and Rumble #1 looks to be a nice pick-up. Ray Fawkes’ Intersect #2 will see some awesome sales. All of these Image titles will be sold out very soon. Titan Comics will have three number comics coming out on new comic book day. Check out 13 Coins #3, Mono #1 and Captain Stone #1. All of Titan’s new number ones are sold out or just about there. If you want em’, grab em’.

Titan_Comics_investcomicsSee you soon. Invest wisely.

Carpe Diem.
