InvestComics Hot Picks – New Release Comics on 2/4/15

This week InvestComics will begin a new way to help fans get the comics they want to buy either before they sell out or is featured in our Hot Picks article. With each recommended book featured in the article, fans will be able to click the link to be directed to Ebay. The link will automatically narrow down to the specific comic on Ebay, weeding out all of the nonsense that may come along within a regular Ebay search. By being able to click and be directed right to Ebay, fans can now either use the buy it now option or place bids if they so desire. It’s a great option to have this feature because now if you forgot to tell your local shop or your favorite on line comic shop is out of a book, you now have the option to buy it or bid on it right away via the InvestComics link. It’s also fantastic for InvestComics fans because you now can click that first appearance, reintroduction, variant, graded comic, or anything we write up and buy it/bid on it right away before other fans buy it up. So if InvestComics has a link in RED, click it and buy it!

Star Wars #2 heads our way this Wednesday with some very nice variants. Not as many as its previous issue so that’s a good thing! Will Star Wars continue its hotness with their new home at Marvel? We’ll see.

There are a few variants that speculators may want to get this Wednesday to do a little flipping with. Get all of this comics signed and graded (as always, must be a 9.8 or higher), then sell them. Simple stuff here. First, there are so many pluses that accompany Spawn #250. It’s a mega-sized issue that features the return of the original Spawn, there is a rare Scottie Young variant, and then there is the Todd McFarlane/Greg Capullo variant. Get a double shot with both sigs; McFarlane/Capullo and you have a great book. Superman #38 seems to have made very little noise considering what its bringing this Wednesday. The comic will be double sized and have the following; Superman with new powers, Introductions/first appearances (or maybe re-introductions), New enemies (again, maybe reintroductions), and ready for this…? A new costume. Yes, Superman will don a new costume. Click the Superman #38 link now and buy your regular and variant copies on Ebay now before your local comic shop starts hoarding them or putting a $10 price tag on them. Wytches #4 will feature a variant cover from new upcoming superstar Babs Tarr. You must visit and like her Facebook page right HERE. Thanks to the VP of InvestComics on the heads on Tarr! “She’s the next Fiona Staples” as the VP said. Yes indeed. And while on topic about the great Fiona Staples, be sure to check out her special wraparound cover on Saga #25. Fiona will be the artist who catapults Archie Comics into the stratosphere when their relaunch occurs. Be ready for Fiona to bring it. You’ve been warned already on these pages about her and Archie Comics. You’ve been warned…..

Weird and funny thing about Avengers #41 this week. It features the same cover as Ultimates #1 from 2002. So with that, we get a sold out comic? Yep. Be sure to be on top of this one. It smells like one of those hot books to bust out. Not much of an explanation as to why the same cover, which means something very cool may be happening inside of that comic. Be sure to hit the links to buy your copies of Ultimates #1 for 99 cents before it may be too late and also the sold out Avengers #41. And awesome Noto variant. Check it out!

Another group(s) will make waves this week. Check out Guardians of the Galaxy and X-Men Black Vortex Alpha #1. This story sounds like it’s going to be some fun. It features the main villain named Mr. Knife within the arc. Mr. Knife’s first appearance is right HERE in Legendary Star-Lord #3. Looks like another 99 cent book to be had. If the story heats up, well then we all know what happens to that 99 cent book right?

New Zodiax #1 from Astronaut Ink is showing signs of great sales. A good looking story with a short print run makes for some nice possibilities no? Click the link to buy your copies now!

Valiant will have a hit on their hands with Imperium #1. Some great variants to choose from here. The book will sell out, so be on top of it. Another sold out comic on the horizon will be Postal #1. A great read and a fantastic Linda Sejic variant to get. Look for Grant Morrison’s Nameless #1 to hit the ground running. The very creepy/dark Rat God #1 from Dark Horse will hit the shelves this Wednesday. Read that with the lights very dim in bed at night. Then good to sleep. Report back what you dream about! The one time red hot Enormous book will hit this week with Enormous #6. The streak will continue with sellouts for that book though.

Cluster #1 from Boom Studios looks like a great read as does Stray Bullets Sunshine and Roses #1 from Image Comics.

Return of the Living Deadpool #1 has a funny Ryan Stegman variant. And All New Captain America Fear Him #1 will be a good read.

Remember to click any of the comics in RED to be linked directly to the Ebay page of all the comics available of that issue. It’s a great tool to buy exactly what you want right away instead of hunting it down when it’s too late!
