A new comic book week means a new week of Convergence titles from DC. Also a new week of speculating on some of them too, besides some good reads of course. Each week InvestComics touches on the Convergence titles to give a possible heads up on what DC MAY do in the future with possible new titles or characters reemerging in the DCU. This is pure speculating here. DC may never visit some of these characters again after they appear in this epic storyline, but it’s fun to take a look at some back issues to hunt down a first appearance. Like a Captain Carrot from a couple of weeks (and months) ago here on InvestComics.

Convergence Hawkman #1 will visit the land of Kamandi. Kamandi hasn’t really appeared in a whole lot of books considering he was introduced in 1972’s Kamandi, The Last Boy On Earth #1. Jack “King” Kirby is the cover artist and artist/creator of the character. A wonderful Bronze Age comic to have in you collection regardless if DC ever follows up with this character.

The Detroit Justice League will appear in Convergence Justice League America #1. Check out Detroit’s baddest gang and their first appearance in Justice League of America Annual #2 (1984). This comic also happens to be the first appearance of Vibe.

Convergence Superboy and The Legion #1 will feature the group Atomic Knights. They first appeared in Strange Adventures #117 (1960).

And besides Convergence #3, here are the rest of the Convergence titles hitting the shelf this Wednesday; Convergence Adventures of Superman #1, Convergence Batman and The Outsiders #1, Convergence Flash #1, Convergence Green Lantern Corps #1, Convergence New Teen Titans #1, Convergence Swamp Thing #1 and Convergence Wonder Woman #1.

G.I. Joe Real America Hero #213 continues the “Death of Snake Eyes” storyline. Snake Eyes is one step closer to his comic book demise. Fans must be loving it because the comic is sold out across the board. Regular cover and variants.

With all of the Star Wars craze going on right now and with the Star Wars Marvel comic doing so well, it’s probably best to stay on top of this series and any other Star Wars related series from Marvel. The potential of any new introductions within the series will send the aftermarket into a frenzy. As proven with the heads up InvestComics gave everyone with Darth Vader #3 (since cooled off). So check out Star Wars #4 this week….

The Inhuman Special #1 will be a cool book to check out. Marvel states there will be a character to appear that hasn’t for 75 years until now. That’s neat. We look forward to see who it is.

Everything Star Wars is hot, so what better time than to release a titled book like Empire Uprising #1 to confuse everyone! IDW publishing puts out this awesome Mark Waid written, Barry Kitson drawn comic this Wednesday. Incidentally, the same creative team first introduced Empire back in 2000 under the Image Comics label; Empire #1. Great stuff. A couple of more interesting titles from IDW to check out; Infinite Loop #1 and Drones #1. Also a cool comic from IDW for the little ones; Littlest Pet Shop Spring Cleaning #1. The Littlest Pet Shop #1 first came out in 2014.

Two titles from Image Comics this Wednesday to check out are Beyond Belief #1 and Kaptara #1.

Guardians of the Galaxy #26 will feature a variant Howard the Duck Nirvana cover.

I.C.E. Bayou Black Out #1 from 12 Gauge comics is a looker. I.C.E. First appeared as a free comic book day comic back in 2011.

Avengers Magazine #1 has names attached like John Buscema and Jack Kirby. It’s a must get for any comic book enthusiast. Avengers Operation Hydra #1 will also be for comic book enthusiast, but especially Avengers fans.
