IMAGE’S RED SPIKE only $1

Red_Spike__1_PRIMAGE COMICS ANNOUNCES “RED SPIKE” TO RELEASE ON 5/4 FOR JUST $1!

Los Angeles, CA – March 2, 2011 – Image Comics, in association with Benaroya Publishing, is proud to announce RED SPIKE.

“It’s been over 70 years since the world first began its research into creating a Super Soldier. In 2011, the United States successfully created not one, but two. The latest in US Black Ops, Project Red Spike discovered that through the manipulation and regulation of the adrenal glands the super soldier was one step closer. The first (surviving) successes of the program, two close friends Matt Cutler and Greg Dane, have been proven on the field to be everything that was wanting in the program. But what happens when an adrenaline regulator malfunctions? What happens should one man refuse to follow orders if he finds out the true price they had to pay for these abilities and goes AWOL? How do we stop him? What price becomes too high?”

What if I told you that you could begin to find out for just $1? At 30 pages of story, the first issue of this genre bending series has an introductory price of just $1, with the following issues at only a $2.99 cover, with a minimum of 24 story pages an issue and a 32 page fifth issue!

Writer Jeff Cahn makes his comics debut with Salvador Navarro and comics veteran Mark Texeira in his corner. The first volume in the RED SPIKE series, “Adrenaline”, promises an action packed ride through the inner workings of this Top Secret Super Soldier military operation.

RED SPIKE #1 hits your local comic shops on May 4th, 2011 and is currently in Diamond Previews, Diamond Order # MAR110530. Just in time for Free Comic Book Day!
