The Spider-Woman Motion Comic is here!

Marvel’s first steps into the future of comics is here, available at itunes now for only 99 cents! But is it revolutionary? Or is it a flop?

If you head to itunes now (US peeps only, unfortunately it’s not available in Canada, the UK or Aus yet), you’ll be able to find the first chapter of the Spider-Woman motion comic.

The comic, coming out ahead of the actual print date by about a month, is written by the acclaimed Daredevil creative team of Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev, and features a full cast of voice actors.

There has been a lot of speculation about how this will work out, previous motion comics have been adaptions of classic material such as Watchmen but this is the first time a comic has been produced for motion in tandem with traditional print. Will this be a game-changer in the comics industry? Or will it just be like those old 60s Marvel cartoons where they cut out the comics and wiggled the mouths? At a price of less than a dollar, I think we should all take the plunge!
