The Cosmic Ghost Rider character is still ‘riding high’ with the Marvel and comic book fanbase. No signs of him throttling down anytime soon. So, what will Marvel present to its faithful CGR fans after the successful debut last month? How about….Space Sharks! Yes, that’ll grab the attention of fans. Cosmic Ghost Rider #2 with an appearance of Space Sharks! Check out that crazy Geoff Shaw shark cover too. That’ll get some airplay around social media for a little bit. And for the speculators wondering, this is not the first appearance of Space Sharks. They first appeared from legends Chris Claremont (writer) and Dave Cockrum (artist) in 1982’s Uncanny X-Men #162. Hey, they can’t all be home runs, right?
Ant-Man & The Wasp #4 follows our heroes within the Microverse and back to reality. The thing is every time they come back they come back with newer/different powers. This issue shows us some of the side affects of going back and forth from one parallel to the other. Maybe they’ll shoot rays out of their eyeballs now. Or maybe be more like Jeff Goldblum from the fly and they both start mutating/morphing into their respective insects somehow. That’s probably more of a What If? story, but hey never know!

Well, Super Sons will start anew this week with a new number one issue. What’s wrong with just continuing within the continuity of the original series instead of starting with a number one issue you ask? Answer is simple, DC and Marvel and many, well all, of the indie companies have figured out that they are catering to the collector’s market more so these days then not. That’s why. Deny all you want old scholler’s or nostalgic mutants, there is no other way to explain the constant restarts. Oh, still not convinced? How about a bazillion (being obsessive here, obviously) variant covers that accompany the said number one issue? Yes, catering to an over-bought market, but that’s okay because companies need to make their money to pump out their content. Eventually the tide will turn once again once the modern market dries up a bit. ‘Modern speculators’ will eventually realize that the brand-new comic on the shelf on Wednesday that cost them $40 because of a ‘pretty’ cover will most likely amount to a cover price comic sooner rather then later will wise up. Once that happens, things will change back to somewhat normalcy without the pointless variant covers, which in turn may slow down the ‘number one’ being such a draw to the sell. But for now, we move along to Adventures Of The Super Sons #1 this Wednesday. It will be a fantastic book regardless of the aforementioned banter. That banter has nothing to do with the quality of the content in most books. Writer Peter J. Tomasi is back with artists Carlo Barberi and Art Thibert.
