Tony Stark’s brother Arno returns in Tony Stark: Iron Man #5. This comic is also promising the return of a classic Iron Man villain. A two for one comic here. Just for reference, Arno Stark first appeared in Iron Man # 12 (2003 – not named) and Iron Man #17 (2003 – named). These comics are very affordable. Click those links and buy them if you want.
Two more Spider-Man number one issues release this Wednesday; Spider-Force #1 (Priest and Paulo Siqueira). The Vault Of Spiders #1 (Cullen Bunn and Javier Pulido). Both of these spidey comics, as ALL of these new spidey comics coming out on a weekly basis contain first appearances all the time. Keep your eyes open for that ‘big one’. You know, the one that the expert speculators/websites decide to push on through and create super hype about. These are always good for a quick catch and release. Get a few sheckles out of it.

A couple of X-Men will appear in their own number one comics; What If? Magik #1 (Leah Williams and Filipe Andrade). Would you believe Magik first appeared 35 years ago, in New Mutants #14? If you remember when this comic came out, you’re saying to yourself “Wow, that’s a long time ago….”. X-Men: Black – Emma Frost #1 (Leah Williams and Chris Bachalo).
Old Man Logan #50 will be the final issue. Writer Ed Brisson and artist Ibraim Roberson.
What’s Halloween without a Halloween comic? Marvel’s Avengers Halloween Special #1. This comic will trend. Not so much because it’s a Halloween book, but it’s the Marvel writing debut of Jay Baruchel. Also, it’s one of those comics where they do weird stuff to your favorite heroes and or villains. They change them up because it’s a non-continuity book and some strange character could come out of this as a new “first appearance”.

A bevy of comic creators lend their hand in the new Batman Secret Files #1. If a Batman fan or a comic fan, a must look-see.
The IDW/DC crossover project is working. Fans loved the Batman/Maxx Arkham Dreams debut. Now Batman/The Maxx: Arkham Dreams #2 sees artist Sam Kieth tackle the greatest villain of all; The Joker. The Sam Kieth variant cover with the Joker smells like a sold-out comic. Best get that one if you want it….quick.
A trend, a buzz surrounds the new story Heroes In Crisis. Writer Tom King has fans asking lots of questions as to how and why and who? Artist Clay Mann ropes fans along with great panels and a fantastic cover as well – Heroes In Crisis #2.
