A quick mention about a new column that has gone up on InvestComics this week called “Sold Out – New #1 Comics.” Terry Hoknes is bringing his A game once again. His regular articles are full of amazing stats, the new article brings the issue availability of the new releases from Diamond Distributors (number one issues of course). So by examining the list each week one can tell what number one issues are commanding the attention of the collectors market, thus creating a possible bump in the speculation market. This is a collector’s dream list and I seriously suggest you check it out. You can click right HERE for the latest article. Believe me you’ll be happy that you did. Amazing.

So staying on topic here a bit, there are six number one issues to check out this week. There are two in particular that should be on your radar. Burn The Orphanage Born To Lose (2013 Image) #1 and Sidekick (2013 Image) #1. Both of these are Sold Out at Diamond. Now does this mean that they are going to go bonkers in the aftermarket? Well no, but obviously it is a cause for concern if these comics are a huge hit. So this is a judgment call on the speculators part. Pick up the comics, read them and decide for yourself. Are these number one hyperbole issues or are these stories so good that it will cause a stir amongst the readers/speculation market. One thing that is for sure is that InvestComics comic book reviewer Brianna Floss gave Sidekick #1 a rating of 7.5 out of 10. That’s not too shabby. (Check out Brianna’s reviews coming tomorrow)

Lords of Mars (2013 Dynamite) #1 over saturates the market with 7 different covers, in which 3 variants are Sold Out already. Lady Rawhide (2013 Dynamite) #1 only has 2 covers. There are only about 13 variant copies left, so keep an eye out on that one. Another tease, the awesome Brianna gave the Lady a 7.5 rating out of 10. And just in case you are in the market for LR’s first appeance, that would be Zorro #3 from 1994.  Pathfinder Goblins (2013 Dynamite) #1 regular cover has an abundance of copies left, but the variants seems to be selling well. And fans of Buck Rogers can check out Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (2013 Hermes Press) #1. Looks like a fun read!

DC Comics brings back another hired assassin into their New 52 Universe. Is it “new” anymore? Probably not of course, but they are still reintroducing characters so it’s still “new” to them right? Eh anyhow, Lady Vic makes her triumphed return in Batwing (2011) #23! You’ve been pining for her return, right? So Lady Vic is doing the whole choke hold on our beloved Batwing on the cover, looking all bad ass. She looked every bit the part in her 1997 debut in Nightwing #4. Looks like Nighty is in a world of trouble on that cover! If you are in the market for this comic, search out the 50 cent or dollar bins. Easy find and you’ll have the Lady’s first appearance.

Be sure to check out Terry Hoknes’ new column each week! As well as InvestComics other awesome columns! Reviews from Brianna, The Comic Brokers Report, the video Comic Book review show FFFIC,  the best podcast on the planet Breaking The 4th Wall, and so much more!
