Amazon Stops Selling Comics?!

In the wake of the price glitch this past weekend, Amazon has halted the direct sale of all trades and hardcovers.

After a fanboy feeding frenzy that occurred late Saturday night and throughout Sunday, where fanboys, tipped off by tweets from Mark Waid and the reports of Rich Johnston over at Bleeding Cool, attempted to take advantage of a price glitch that put the cost of many Hardcover Omnibuses at $15, Amazon has ceased selling trades and hardcovers directly from their own stock or from Diamond. While the items may still be available from other sellers in the Amazon Marketplace, no Marvel, Image, Dark Horse, IDW, Avatar or Dynamite books are available directly from Amazon. Hopefully, this is simply a temporary measure while the company gets the order cancellations under control. However, both publishers and Diamond were taken by surprise by this move.

DC Books are distributed through Random House, and are therefore unaffected by this halt.
