Outhouse correspondent MrBlack had this to say about the preview on our forums:

It’s obvious at this point that the body Superman recovered in Final Crisis that Dick just dropped in the Lazarus Pit isn’t actually Bruce. In the preview, they talk about a "Dark Messiah" or a "God of Evil" that will be resurrected from the pit. I figure that leaves two possibilities.

The first is Dr. Hurt. Batman survived the plane crash, but perhaps Hurt didn’t. There were several hints that Hurt might actually have been the Devil in mortal clothing, and having him resurrected in Batman’s body would be quite the twist. I can’t recall off the top of my head, however, whether we’ve seen Hurt so far in B&R, so he may not need resurrecting.

The second, and stronger possibility to my mind, is Darkseid. He was repeatedly referred to as an "Evil God" during Final Crisis, and the reference to there being a "hole in everything" ties back to Darkseid’s final fate in FC of tearing a hole in the center of creation. The Crime Bible has always had strong ties to Apokalips, so it would make sense that they would worship Darkseid.

Thoughts?
