Black Cat Confirmed for Spider-Man 4, Plus Clues About Male Villain!

The producers of Spider-Man 4 confirm rumors of the Black Cat character making an appearance, and give some hints as to the male villain in the film.

Outhouse Poster and television fanboy KSChris brought this story to our attention the other day, as rumors were spreading that actress Rachel McAdams was up for the role of Felicia Hardy, The Black Cat, in the new Spider-Man movie. Chris also listed another actress, Romola Garai. Rather than provide the acting credentials of these ladies, the Outhouse will present you with pictures:

Of course, Outhouse posters were not satisfied with the breast size of these actresses, claiming that this was a very important part of Felicia’s character, and so another suggestion was made by Outhouse Poster and Videogame and Porn Guru TheScantronman AKA Baskerville Holmes:

Personally, this reporter is tempted to favor McAdams for the role, due solely to the fact that her name is easiest to pronounce. In any case, though the final casting has not been confirmed, the producers of the movie HAVE confirmed that the role does indeed exist, and the Black Cat will be a part of the next movie. However, this may not be the same Black Cat comic fans know and love, according to HUG:

We were also given a rough outline of the character’s story arc. Apparently she is the daughter of the new editor of The Daily Bugle, a man who is also referred to as ‘a viper’ (more on this in a second). She falls in love with Peter Parker, and uncovers his true identity. Her father then dies, and Hardy becomes a threat to Peter Parker (presumably as The Black Cat).

In addition, HUG was able to score some additional hints on another villain in the upcoming flick:

The source also implied that the word viper has some relevance. We’ve been trying to work out what, and we’re at a loss. Looking through the pantheon of marvel characters the only ones known as ‘The Viper’ are villains in Captain America stories, so it’s unlikely that it’s the name of a baddie, although our source did suggest that Felicia’s father is a villain as well as the editor of The Daily Bugle.

Well comic fans? Surely another Outhouse super sleuth will be able to decipher this riddle!

Rumors have also suggested lately that the Lizard will be featured in Spider-Man 4, but with that role already being filled by Dylan Baker, and reports suggesting that director Sam Raimi is casting for a villain, logic would imply that there will be a third villain as well.

The Outhouse reported a few weeks ago that Bruce Campbell has claimed a major role in the upcoming movie – could he be the mystery man? Time will tell, but some other sources have also suggested Carnage and Mysterio as possible villains in this movie.
