Marvel’s West Coast Avengers back in 1984 was a hot mini-series that spawned into its own series in late 1985. The series lasted 102 issues with eight annuals. A nice run to say the least. Like most other times, Marvel is going back to the well and bring back the team in West Coast Avengers #1. And like most things that are brought back, there is a new team/character(s) in their place. All fans really have to do is take a look at the Paul Renaud homage cover and see things are a bit different then they were back in 84. Is that Gwenpool? Yep, sure is. How about America Chavez, Kid Omega,Hawkeye boy and girl? Yes, they encompass the new team. How about one more ‘how about?’ How about a new character(?) named Fuse on the team? The new West Coast team will be headed by the creative team of Kelly Thompson (writer) and Stefano Caselli (art). All this comes together this Wednesday. Should be lots of fun.
Punisher enters its eleventh volume this week. Punisher #1 with creative team Matthew Rosenberg (writer) and artist Szymon Kudranski.
Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur #34 introduces a new character; Devin Dinosaur.
Marvel Super Hero Adventures Inferno #1 gives the younger audience a chance to experience some intense Venom/Spider-Man action. Buy this comic for your kid at home, your niece, nephew, grandchild, or whoever. Introduce them into the world of comics.

Micronauts #59
Batman Dracula

Artist Kelley Jones began his remarkable career back in 1984’s Micronauts series for Marvel. Micronauts #54 to be exact. He inked Bill Mantlo pencils. It wasn’t until the middle of 1984 until Mr. Jones got his first official penciling work in Micronauts #59. His work in the early 90’s on DC’s Sandman comic with Neil Gaiman was on point. But it was in late 1991 that Kelley Jones had his defining comic book character moment, as so many others have in their own right. Batman & Dracula: Red Rain (graphic novel) was THE book. This book defined Kelley Jones as a ‘Batman artist’. Fans loved this unique take on the Dark Knight. Those pointed ears. Their Kelley Jones’ and we all love it. Although he did a Batman cover for the Robin II #1 (a regular comic), it wasn’t until 1995 when Jones got his first crack at the actual Batman title in Batman #515. Thirty-four Batman issues in total he would do. He’s forever known as one of the prolific Batman artists, alongside Kane, Aparo, McFarlane, Wrightson, Adams, Capulo, Lee, Breyfogle, Miller, Sale, Mazzuchelli, Bolland, O’Neil, Daniel, Starlin and others. Now this Wednesday, Kelley Jones returns to the character he helped define with his version, his vision in Batman Kings Of Fear #1. Scott Peterson will write the six issue mini and we all get to adore Kelley Jones’ Batman once again. That Bill Sienkiewicz cover is an absolute beauty. Don’t get us started on Mr. Sienkiewicz too…..
Damage gets his first annual; Damage Annual #1; Writer Robert Venditti and artist Diogenes Neves.
