Frank Frazetta Not Kidnapped?!

In response to controversial statements that he is being held against his will by his own family, Frank Frazetta speaks.

The Outhouse reported earlier this week on a blog that had popped up recently, http://www.theghostofellie.com/, which was making some startling accusations regarding legendary artist Frank Frazetta. The 82 year old, whose work has earned him a permanent spot in history as one of, if not the, best fantasy artists of all time, spoke with The Pocono Record, a newspaper in his former hometown in Pennsylvania, about the situation.

The blog in question, which states that it is not associated with Frank Frazetta Jr., who was arrested for breaking into the Frazetta museum run by Frazetta Sr. and his late wife Ellie, alleged that a faction of the Frazetta family, in opposition to Frank Jr., had taken the artist against his will to Florida, and were preventing him from returning to his beloved museum in the Poconos. In addition, it was alleged that the artist’s collection of legendary paintings were being exploited and sold, and that Frazetta Jr. has attempted to save the paintings with the blessing of his father. The Frazetta Jr. faction of the family were planning a candle-light vigil outside the Frazetta museum to show support for the supposedly captive artist.

Well… that’s all bullshit, according to Frank Sr. Here’s some snippets of what he had to say:

"I’m in my own home. "I’m the only one who lives here. Yes, absolutely I’m under my own free will. My daughters don’t tell me what to do. I’m a man of my own word."

"Don’t you believe anything he tells you. He’s full of beans. He wants to run the museum by himself. He wants the whole thing to himself. What does he think — I’m dead? He’s really gone, he’s gone haywire… My daughters are both upset. I can’t even face it. I don’t know what the heck is going on. It’s insane. Nothing more nothing less."

According to the Record, Frazetta was lucid and lively during the conversation, and speaking candidly.

Frank Jr.’s wife responded:

"We are confident the truth will be revealed, and we are looking forward to the safe return of Frank Sr., back to Pa. soon."
