Fridolfs and Nyugen get cute with Lil’ Gotham

This year’s Batman and Detective Comics Annuals, Derek Fridolfs and Dustin Nyugen turn all your favourite Bat-characters into cute kids in 2 Lil’ Gotham stories.

This year’s Batman and Detective Comics Annuals may be focusing on the Dark gritty warrior Azrael, but there’s more too! The DCU Source Blog has revealed that the regular Batman: Streets Of Gotham artistic team of Dustin Nyugen and Derek Fridolfs are providing 2 two-page stories featuring all the Batman characters in cute forms.

BATMAN ANNUAL #27 features a race through the winding streets of
Gotham titled “Off Rogue Racing,” while DETECTIVE COMICS ANNUAL #11 is
simply titled “Question & Answer.” What more is there to say? Not
too much, since we don’t want to spoil the fun. But we did manage to
get a few words from Mr. Marts. Take it away, Mike:

“The usual STREETS OF GOTHAM art tandem of Dustin Nguyen and Derek
Fridolfs switch gears to deliver two separate “Lil Gotham” chapters.
Humor for all ages and adorable art – how can you say no?”

Looks cool huh? Nyugen has used this style on a couple of images on his website, and seeing the Batman characters, who are normally so serious in a humour story will be different.

The Batman annual is out on the 7th of October, and ‘Tec is out on the 14th.
