Gene Colan hospitalized, but “looking OK”
The Hero Initiative has reported that Comics Legend Gene Colan was taken to Hospital earlier this week due to Pneumonia and other complications.

Gene Colan’s wife Adrienne informs us that Gene was taken to Mt. Sinai
Hospital in New York early in the morning on Monday, Aug. 10 by
ambulance.
All is looking okay, and best guess is that Gene
might be laid up in hospital for a few days. In fact, steady
improvement could get him home by late Wednesday-early Thursday. He has
pneumonia in his right lung behind his heart, and possibility of
infection of some fluids. Some Encephalopathy-related difficulties may
be going on, too.

Gene Colan has been a comics artist for almost 60 years, working primarily for Marvel Comics, most famously on the characters Daredevil and Howard The Duck. He is particularly famous for his work with writer Marv Wolfman on the classic Horror series The Tomb Of Dracula, where he co-created the Vampire Hunter Blade. Even now, at the age of 82, he is still drawing comics, his most recent work is Captain America #601 with writer Ed Brubaker.
Colan is a true legend and part of comics history, and all at The Outhouse wish him well and that we get to see more great art from him in the future.
