Green Lantern Film Production Moving to New Orleans

Second Line Stages manager confirms production move

Kevin Murphy, manager of studio operations at New Orleans’ Second Line Stages, has confirmed that Warner Bros. will move production of their upcoming Green Lantern film to the beleagured city on the Louisiana coast.  Murphy claimed that his company has a nonrefundable contract to rent stage space to Warner Bros. for the film’s production beginning in December, with shooting to take place between March and either July or August of 2010.

As previously reported , although the Green Lantern film was set to begin shooting this year in Australia, the rising value of the Australian dollar drove up the cost of production, resulting in Warner Bros. pulling production out of the Land Down Under.
