Harry Potter Comic Book… kinda!
Bluewater Comics, the company that puts out all those Obama, Sarah Palin, Ted Kennedy, Michael Jackson comics, is putting out a biographical comic featuring Harry Potter creator J. K. Rowling.
Bleeding Cool reports that the latest comic biography from Bluewater Comics will be all about Rowling, the author of the seven Harry Potter novels. Rowling is notoriously protective of her own name and the Harry Potter brand, so this may signal an opening of doors for an eventual Harry Potter comic book adaptation.
Bluewater Comics is the company that has produced such gems as the Obama comic, the Sarah Palin comic, the Ted Kennedy comic, and the Michael Jackson comic. The Rowling comic will be part of their Female Force line, which formerly featured such women as Hillary Clinton and Oprah Winfrey, but which has most recently covered Stephanie Meyer, the author of Twilight.
The comic will be written by Adam Gragg and drawn by Matt Flyer.
