Hot New Comics 11-26-25
This week’s batch of new comics arrives like a collector’s anxiety attack wrapped in glossy covers, variant stress, and the eternal question: “Do I buy one copy, or ten and pretend it’s for the long-term?” As always, the Hot Picks aren’t about reading — they’re about hunting, speculating, and that tiny thrill of maybe owning something valuable before the rest of the world wakes up. Below is everything worth paying attention to, mixed up in no particular order, because alphabetical structure belongs to calmer people.

ABSOLUTE BATMAN 14
Writers Chip Zdarsky and Kelly Thompson continue DC’s new “Absolute” initiative by throwing Bruce Wayne back into emotional and physical chaos, and artist Jorge Jiménez once again makes the entire thing look like a fever dream with better lighting. The series is rumored to dig into a new antagonist rising from the background hints of earlier issues. Collectors who’ve watched the Absolute line deliver multiple first-appearance moments will definitely keep an eye on this one — mostly out of fear of missing the next character destined for a $30 eBay flip by lunchtime.

BATTLEWORLD 3
Writer Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing keep the multiversal chaos spinning while artist Greg Land turns every page into polished superhero mayhem. With Miles Morales front-and-center and multiple universes smashing into one another, this issue teases the reveal of a new reality-specific version of at least one major character. Marvel has used Battleworld titles before as launch pads for characters who later break out, so this one has that speculative “do not ignore this” energy.

DEAD HEAD 1 (MASSIVE PUBLISHING)
A.C. Medina and Gabriel Fonseca drag readers into a grindhouse-style nightmare with a brand-new horror anti-hero. First appearances everywhere — the lead character, the world, the supporting cast, the tone, all of it. It’s exactly the kind of series that collectors regret sleeping on once issue 1 goes into a surprise second print. With two covers already stirring attention, this is the kind of new IP that can simmer for a few months and suddenly explode if someone options it for streaming. The Massive Publishing horror line has a track record of titles gaining after release, so treat this like a quiet landmine.

GALACTIC 1 (DSTLRY)
Curt Pires writes, Amílcar Pinna illustrates, and DSTLRY — the boutique publisher designed specifically to torture collectors with shorter print runs — delivers another high-concept sci-fi world. This issue kicks off a major new storyline featuring bounty hunters, corrupt star governments, and a protagonis t with a bloody past that the company is very obviously positioning as a franchise character. DSTLRY first issues have been moving fast almost every week, and because the publisher intentionally limits stock, this one has built-in speculation weight.

I SAW SANTA 1
Image launches a twisted holiday horror one-shot from creators Steven Rivelle and Rolando Neto. The entire premise revolves around a deranged Santa figure, which is the kind of concept that becomes a cult favorite instantly. Christmas-themed horror issues have a long history of unexpected aftermarket heat, especially if they introduce a memorable villain — which this definitely does. Holiday first appearances tend to age surprisingly well.

THE INFERNAL HULK 1
Phillip Kennedy Johnson takes Hulk into darker cosmic horror territory while artist Nic Klein delivers the monstrous redesign that fans are already buzzing over. This new “Infernal” take on Hulk signals a tonal shift and includes the debut of a supernatural corruption affecting Banner at a biological and metaphysical level. New Hulk forms often become collectible — Immortal Hulk proved that fast — and this debut issue is pitching a major new transformation.

MARVEL KNIGHTS: THE PUNISHER 2
Writer Jimmy Palmiotti and artist Dan Panosian continue pushing Frank Castle through Marvel Knights’ new gritty reboot. Issue 1 already teased the introduction of a new criminal network manipulating global events, and this second chapter digs further into the organization’s structure — which almost guarantees a new villain reveal or a power-player exposition moment. Punisher relaunches typically spark speculation because every era brings a new enemy, a new mission, or a new “this guy will matter later” twist.

UNDEADPOOL 2
Deadpool, zombies, and an event banner that says “Age of Revelation.” Matthew Rosenberg writes it like an unhinged fever hallucination, while artist Carlos E. Gómez draws Wade Wilson like someone who just lost a fight with decay itself. The series continues building the undead transformation storyline, and fans are already whispering about a new zombified character debuting here. Variant covers are certainly fueling the speculative rush.

VENOM: BLACK, WHITE & BLOOD 4
This anthology format is where creators get weird — and sometimes reveal new symbiote lore that turns into collector gold. With writers such as Al Ewing and artists like Declan Shalvey contributing to earlier issues, this entire run has been treated like a symbiote playground. Keep an eye on any new form, named attack, or creature introduced — Venom continuity is a spiderweb, and fans absorb every breadcrumb.

DAREDEVIL & PUNISHER: THE DEVIL’S TRIGGER 1
David Pepose teams up with artist Dave Wachter to put Matt Murdock and Frank Castle in the same room again, which historically means someone’s bones get broken and someone else questions life choices. This new series introduces a fresh criminal syndicate manipulating Hell’s Kitchen and possibly a new assassin figure tied to both characters. A new villain debut is extremely likely, which puts this on the Hot Picks radar instantly.

DC K.O. 2
Scott Snyder and Javi Fernández continue DC’s newest mega-event — a crossover full of multiversal fistfights, collapses, and the kind of character entrances that make speculation forums light up. Issue 1 already delivered at least one new character variation, and issue 2 pushes further into alternate Earth versions of key DC heroes. Any new take on Wonder Woman, Superman, or Batman becomes a long-term chase item if it resonates.

ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN 14
Tom King’s run with Daniel Sampere continues reshaping Diana’s mythos, and this chapter is rumored to highlight new elements of the Amazon civil conflict introduced earlier in the Absolute line. The series has already produced new characters and political factions, and issue 14 appears poised to do the same. King’s world-building tends to stick — and collectors are watching closely.

ARCADIA 1
The Miranda Brothers launch a new fantasy-tech series that balances magic, mystery, and massive overgrown beasts. As a number-one issue with an entirely new world, everything inside is a first appearance. Image first issues from creator-owned teams have a strong history of gaining heat if there’s even a whisper of a streaming adaptation later.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: SHREDDER 3
Dan Watters and artist Michele Bandini continue exploring Shredder’s solo mythology, expanding his origin and powers in ways TMNT fans have been waiting for. This issue reportedly introduces deeper lore about the armor and its supernatural properties, and TMNT collectors know exactly how fast anything tied to Shredder can escalate in value. Even supporting characters in these mini-series often become long-term favorites.

THE PUNISHER (MARVEL KNIGHTS)
This alternate Punisher title under the Marvel Knights umbrella continues expanding the “World to Come” storyline. With Palmiotti and Panosian steering the ship, the tone is more brutal dystopia meets cinematic action. Keep an eye out for new tech, new factions, or new punisher-style weaponry — these things sometimes become canon.
