Batman Incorporated #8Here’s the biggest speculation comic of the week, hands down. The first FULL appearance of Joker Inc. This motley crew appears on the Jim Timms cover too, so you may want to grab that first appearance cover as well. The Joker Inc. team will have so many new players on it, it’s anyone’s guess as to when the first appearance of these characters will appear. Yes, most will be within the confines of the introduction of the team, but maybe more players will come on board as the story progresses. It would be wise to keep tabs on this new team, big things are possible here.
Something Epic #1 – New Image Comics series from superstar comic creator Szymon Kudranski. He will introduce readers to Danny Dillion. A new character and new universe built from the ground up. The solicit reads like this; ….superheroes, monsters, magical creatures, and cartoon characters live and breathe alongside us. Yes, please. Get in now so you don’t miss anything.
Silk #1 – Another number-one Silk comic. The previous series introduced a new villain and guess what this series will entail? You guessed it! Boy, you’re a smart cookie. Written by Emily Kim.
Green Lantern #1 – We’re not too sure what volume number DC Comics are up to regarding another Lantern number one issue, but here we are…..again. Writers Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Jeremy Adams. Art by Montos.
There will be four “Spider-Man” comics to check out this week. Three of which are indirectly correlated with the Spider-Man character.  Extreme Venomverse #1, which signals the return of the VenomVerse. In a backup story, the first appearance of Venom as a Samurai. Peach Momoko dials up a fantastic variant cover depicting Venom as the Japanese warrior. Spider-Man 2099 Dark Genesis #2, will feature the first appearance of Blade 2099. There are two variant covers with him on them, so those are the covers you’d want if you’re Blade 2099 hunting. And Spider-Gwen Shadow Clones #3.  All three comics are speculative choices in the sense first appearances are extremely present and likely.

This week there are a bunch of variant Spider-Verse comic covers arriving on Wednesday. There are so many new Spider-Verse characters, it’s hard to keep up with who is new and who isn’t. So, many of these variant Spider-Verse covers are actual first appearances and we/most aren’t even aware of it. Here are the Images of the covers arriving below, and to the right. Of course, click on any of them and buy them now

I Am Iron Man #3 – The first appearance of Iron Shogun. Written by Murewa Ayodele and drawn by Adedotun Akande.
The Amazing Spider-Man #25Marvel is literally celebrating arriving at a 25th Amazing Spider-Man issue with much fanfare. It’s actually comical at this point. Celebrating the fact they didn’t have another Spidey relaunch in two years. Hooray! Okay, enough making fun of them. Arriving with this monumental 25th issue, (Marvel’s actual words by the way hahaha!) will be a crazy amount of variant covers. One includes the super-cool Mickey Mouse Avengers team. That’s a keeper for the mere fact that a lot of these Disney covers are first appearance covers as the Disney characters don the Marvel superhero tights for the first time. Remember our rule here at InvestComics, unless the inside of this comic has something very special in it, the expensive variant cover is a speculative loss as soon as you leave the comic shop. The only mitigating factors are the following; a crazy dope cover, I.E. Webhead, that causes fanboys to lose their proverbial minds and overpay, thus it becomes a timing game to cash out at the top and not get stuck with a useless variant no one cares about anymore. A major introduction. A major story event. That’s about it. Be wise, be educated…..read InvestComics.
The Ambassadors #4 – The previous three issues of this series have made it, nothing has changed, that’s why we have Mark Millar’s fourth installment here. This series is bound to become bigger than a comic book one day and you’ve been warned.
Batman The White Knight Presents Generation Joker #1 – A new alternate DC Universe Joker that is of the female gender. DC’s has provided the female Joker thing before, so nothing completely new, but still worth a look-see. It’s part of the Sean Murphy White Knight run and it’s been stellar.
Wolverine #33 – A Sister Dagger backup story from Gene Luen Yang and Peter Nguyen. Sister Dagger first appeared in Shang-Chi #1 in 2020. That pointless Deadpool variant is so cool too.
Kong The Great War #1 – New from Dynamite Entertainment.
Spirit World #1 – A new Chinese DC superhero from Lazarus Planet: Dark Fate #1, Xanthe, gets her own book.
