Spider-Man India #3The Spider-Man India universe continues to build upon its foundation. The groundwork of this universe may or may not be of importance one day if Disney wants to level him up. Just putting that out there.
Wolverine #36 – There will not be a bigger speculative comic this week than this comic right here. Another mash-up from Marvel Comics that has the potential of a massive aftermarket uptick. Think of the first appearance of Weapon H in Totally Awesome Hulk #22. Does anyone remember how crazy-hot that comic was when it arrived? This has that type of vibe to it. Ghost Rider mashed up with Wolverine to become Hellverine. Not too thrilled about the name, but that’s what they came up with. The pricing has come down tremendously on the Totally Awesome Hulk comic, so expect the same here if it takes off. Pricing will eventually come down if Marvel doesn’t follow up with an animation or really push Hellverine as they did for Weapon H for a bit, ran out of story for him, which then eventually affects aftermarket pricing. But you truly need to grab yourself a copy here this Wednesday. Hellverine!!
Death of Venomverse #3We’ll reiterate for the millionth time, that first appearances are running rampant within the Spider-Man universe. No matter if it’s a Gwen, Silk, Spiderverse, Miles, India, or a Venomverse comic. You need to stay on top of these comics because if a breakout happens, you’ll be back here listening to InvestComics say, “Told you so!” And is that the first appearance of Spider-Ham Venom on the cover? It’s very hard to keep up with all of these first appearances these days!

Deadpool Badder Blood #3Rob Liefeld (featured in our Creator Spotlight this week), said he’ll introduce a bunch of new characters during his run with this title. That’ll probably continue this week, and Rob will also bring in Venompool to shake things up a bit. One thing that is hard to believe, Venompool first appeared 15 years ago in Cable and Deadpool #50
G’nort’s Illustrated Swimsuit Edition #1 – These comic book swimsuit issues seem silly, but they are fun too. Seeing your favorite superhero or villain out of their element with fewer clothes on is….um….actually weird, but curiosity will always win,  just ask a cat. Why DC insists on naming the comic after G’nort is a mystery too though. Did you know that G’nort first appeared in Justice League International #10 in 1988? Two recent copies sold for a whopping 99 cents each last week. True story.
Moon Knight Annual #1 – The Contest Of Chaos continues this week, pitting Marvel superheroes to do battle. We’ve had a few weak matchups thus far and this week has to be one of the weakest. Moon Knight vs. Taeguki. The bobbleheads of the speculation market love to push the fact that Taeguki is the first South Korean superhero, but in actuality that really is meaningless. So what really? Seriously. What exactly does this mean in the grand scheme of the collectors market? It’s really an odd push in our opinion, a contrived push the way we see it. It’s literally a way for sellers to make money by peddling this character so hard like this. A raw copy first appearance (Taskmaster #3) will cost you around $20, a second print variant first appearance cover sold for 99 cents last month and a CGC 9.8 first print sold for $89 the other day. These prices are all over the place, pick your poison as they say. It’s not so much poison but a high-risk/low-reward type of deal here. The hype machine ended just as it started back in 2021, quick. We’re not crapping on the character as we are crapping more so on the push for a character that isn’t all that interesting as far as the speculation side goes. A battle between Moon Knight and Taeguki does not make the majority of comic readers very excited, we don’t care how much someone may say it does. If you happen to dig the Taeguki character, we do not mean to come across as being against you at all. We are going against the “establishment” pushing their agenda more so. We all enjoy what we enjoy and that is what it is about at the end of the day. We ARE team Taeguki no matter what.
Batman Catwoman The Gotham War – Battle Lines #1 – Writers Chip Zdarsky and Tini Howard bring on this new story about Batman facing off with Catwoman. We’re always up for this fight! Go Catwoman! Go Batman! Fight!
Cult Of Carnage Misery #4 – Readers will get to learn more about the latest symbiote, Madness.

Star Wars Bounty Hunters #36The first appearance of Boba Fett in a comic book arrived in 1980’s Star Wars #42. A CGC 9.6 sells for around $550. Raw copies obviously a lot less than that, but can still get very pricey for a NM copy. Enter the year 2023 and artist Jerry Ordway. He’ll provide a special classic homage variant this Wednesday of Fett’s first appearance.
Marvel Age #1000 – Marvel has decided to celebrate its 84th birthday with this comic. A retelling of Marvel Comics #1 by some of the biggest talents in the comic book industry today. Waid, Straczynski, Allred, Aaron, Stegman, and Adam Kubert just to name a few.
Action Comics Presents Doomsday Special #1 – Another Doomsday story from DC Comics. Writer Dan Watters and artist Eddy Barrows. The real reason this made our Hot Pick cut is the first appearance of Doomhounds.
Knight Terrors Night’s End #1 – DC Comics exceeded expectations with their Knight Terrors event. It all wraps up in this issue. Not only will it conclude here, but we’ll get the first appearance of Dr. Hate.
Catwoman Uncovered #1 – A comic full of pictures, no words. So, if you’re a fan of no story, no comprehension involvement, this one is for you. DC presents the best Catwoman cover art over some years. Amazing full pages of art from the likes of Lotay, Dekal, Jones, Frison, and many more.
Ms. Marvel New Mutant #1 – By a show of hands, who thought Kamala Khan truly died in the Spider-Man comic recently? Absolutely no one? Ding-Ding!! That is the correct answer! So why the crazy hype machine Marvel? They must think Marvel readers aren’t on to them or something. Well, Kamala is back! As an X-Man this time. Okay.
