InvestComics mentioned quite a while ago that the closer we get to that Doctor Strange movie, the more magic type books we will see. Here’s another magic book coming out, this one from writer Greg Rucka and artist Nicola Scott; Black Magick #1 from Image Comics. We’ll all be magic pooped out by the time Strange comes and goes. A special magazine sized variant will be available with this release.

Chewbacca #2 features Chewy helping a girl out on some stranded planet. That girl is a new character and it’s a Star Wars book. Yes, you know the deal. Buy any Star Wars comics. Any and all, including Kanan The Last Padawan #7 this week too.
An all new team in Howling Commandos Of S.H.I.E.L.D. #1 will consist of a bunch of B rated Marvel characters. Marvel really is throwing a whole bunch out there to see what sticks. There better be some good story telling here or this series will be short lived. Seven variants at last count. Is this necessary?

New Avengers #2 continues onward with the new “Avengers Idea Mechanics” team. Spider-Man 2099 will dress in a new costume in Spider-Man 2099 #2.
What If Norman Osborn had the Infinity Gauntlet? Yes this will be a great story; What If Infinity Dark Reign #1.
Last week InvestComics gave you a heads up on Sunflower #1 from 451 Media Group being sold out before new comic book day. The comic gained traction very fast and is selling on some outlets for as much as $20 already. Now this week, 451 MG releases Self Storage #1. A zombie related story. Will 451 Media Group do it again?
And speaking of zombies, Wes Craven’s Coming Of Rage #1 was written by the late Wes Craven and by Steve Niles. The story follows a Vampire/Werewolf/Zombie character(s). What is there not to love about this? The blood variant is sold out already. That’s love right there.

Valiant Entertainment’s amazing epic story line concludes in Book Of Death #4. Valiant comics are on the upswing. Rise with them because they’re the best thing happening in the comic industry right now.
