Each week InvestComics seeks out a comic(s) on Ebay for $100 or less and then brings it to the attention of our fans. We call it IC 100 Club Pick. The idea is to get a great book at a great price. We do not own nor are we selling these comics. The comics are found by a random process. We do not know the ebay seller(s), nor are we promoting the Ebay seller. Any knowing from the Ebay seller of InvestComics or its affiliates is purely coincidental. (See disclaimer for more details).

IC 100 Club Pick: New Gods #1 graded 7.0. With lots of talk regarding the New Gods making a possible appearance in the new Justice League movie, this comic is a nice pickup. The first appearances of Orion, Lightray, Metron, Kalibak, Highfather, New Genesis and Apokolips. Also with a Darkseid cameo. Story and cover art from Jack Kirby. A fantastic book for your collection. A buy it now price tag of only $85.

There is a very big hyper-machine running behind a new character getting their own book in a few months. His name is Mosaic. Mosaic #1 is being pushed by Marvel as the next big thing (character) since sliced bread, but InvestComics is not going to give into the hype….just yet. A comic coming this week will be the first appearance of that “hot” Marvel character Mosaic. We are 99.999999% sure that other speculation sites and wannabe speculators will tell you to buy this comic it’s going to be so HOT! Maybe it will be, right out of the gate, but there are so many mitigating factors going into this week’s Uncanny Inhumans #11. Will Mosaic play a key role in the Marvel Universe for years to come? Anyone remember Sentry? Will Mosaic play a key role in another characters life? A brother, a son, a reincarnation? Will Mosaic ‘click’ with the fans long term? See Spider-Gwen or Gwenpool, but not Silk as much. Will the character actually have substance to make him interesting enough for fans to come back and or demand to see him more within the Marvel U? It has taken literally decades for Werewolf By Night #32 (Moon Knight) to earn some respect. Partial thanks to InvestComics for pushing that particular book for the last 12 years. The basic point here is not to go all in by paying premium prices for a first appearance of Mosaic if you have no idea where this characters’ future lies within the Marvel U. The easiest call to make these days is the new female characters Marvel introduces. They seem to jump out and kick major as* in the aftermarket quick. The female counter parts however are a bit more touch and go sometimes. Mosaic is the next Marvel character to be pushed in an aggressive way, to which does not always equate to speculator gold. Sometimes it equates to a huge bust. We’ll have to do a wait and see here for a bit, but for now, Uncanny Inhumans #11 has all eyes on it this week. Buy a copy and make your own judgment as to whether or not YOU want to dig in with Mosaic. Don’t think too long though or you’ll have to wait for a second print, thus missing that possible easy flip. This comic will be completely sold out before new comic book day Wednesday.

Fans of Spider-Gwen may want to keep an eye out on the Spider-Gwen Annual #1 comic this week. Marvel is setting up Spider-Gwen’s near future right here.
We hate to say we told you so, but we told you so. We informed readers that the Spider-Man Deadpool series was going to be huge. We told readers to pick up that Spider-Man Deadpool #1 issue, it’s now headed to it’s sixth printing. Check out the all-star issue this week; Spider-Man Deadpool #6.
Last month fanboys got their panties in a bunch because Steve Rogers uttered two very bad words at the end of his debut issue. Lets see if Captain America Steve Rogers #2 brings some clarity or sends the fanboys into more of a tizzy. Maybe Marvel will add fuel to the fire and have the fanboys daring to stop buying Marvel comic books! Been there, done that. Deep breath dudes, breathe.

The Amazing Spider-Man And Silk Spider(Fly) Effect #4 story will have both Spidey and Silk reminiscing about that fateful day in the science fair where they were both bit by the same spider. Ah, good ol’ times! And that Ryan Stegman cover is killer.
It looks as though Marvel is trying to put Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) front and center in their universe. Good deal, we dig it. Captain Marvel #6 will feature Carol in a defining type moment in her hero career. Be there to witness it.

Harley Quinn appearance alert! Harley will make an appearance in Grayson Annual #3.
Deathstroke Annual #2 will introduce a villain named Balkan.
Disclaimer; we’re not crapping on this series, but just stating facts via the social media non-presence and the overall quietness of fans. We warned speculators from the outset. Do not get too vested in the third installment. The colossal failure/delayed Dark Knight III hits its fifth issue (Dark Knight III The Master Race #5). Maybe sales are good for DC with this series, but fans are NOT really talking about the third go-around here. Delays have killed any momentum the series may have had. All that said, a Midtown Comics Greg Capullo variant looks snazzy! And of course you have the Jim Lee variant coming in at $550. Unbelievable to us how JUST a cover, a NEW comic, with the SAME insides/story as ANY of the other 10 variants commands $550. **The fanboy screams** “but it’s a 1 in 300” (or whatever the ratio is), we don’t care. Spend your money by clicking HERE (Bronze Age Comics) instead.

It’s just a question of time before Mark Millar and Frank Quitely’s Jupiter’s Legacy really takes off right? So much potential here it’s unreal. Jupiter’s Legacy #1 (vol 2) ramps up things once again and we’re all invited for the ride. And check out the Rob Liefeld variant. Very Deadpool’ish of Rob, we love it!

Black Mask follows up their hit book; 4 Kids Walk Into A Bank with the second issue. They also hit fans with Jade Street Protection Services #1. Written by Katy Rex and art by Fabian Lelay.
