The Guardians Of The Galaxy will make millions of dollars and Marvel Comics will be jumping in on some of that cash. A solo Rocket Raccoon comic debuts; Rocket #1. This rodent is so cool that he gets a ‘first name’ self- titled comic. No longer referred by his raccoon name, Rocket will blast off with comic fans. Written by Al Ewing and art by Adam Gorham.
This week’s Deadpool #30 comic is 80 pages(?). We’re not too sure if that’s a true statement from Marvel or it’s just a Deadpool goofy joke thing. If true, this is fantastic. It’s always a treat getting more comic book pages to read. A Rob Liefeld variant will be hitting with the 80 page giant…..maybe 80 pages, but Rob is on board. The 80 page giant size issue (maybe) is written by Gerry Duggan, art by Nathaniel Hawthorne.

It looks as though Marvel is trying to work Wonder Man back into the Marvel Universe fold, more so. The character has appeared sporadically throughout many years and now maybe is ready to branch out once again? Maybe. Check out this weeks Uncanny Avengers #23, WW leads the story. The first appearance of Wonder Man is still at a very reasonable price point. Check out Avengers #9 (1964). We think Marvel will be giving the character Domino the same treatment. Although she’s appeared in many books over the last few years, not nearly enough as an A-lister. As Deadpool 2 draws nearer and Domino’s stock continues to rise, look for Domino to start appearing more often in the Marvel Universe as she appears in this weeks Weapon X #3. Domino will be getting her own solo series sooner rather than later. You’ll see. Her first appearance is in X-Force #11 (1992) (so says the graded comic book world). That makes X-Force #13 (1992) her second appearance…….on Ebay right now for 99 cents and your local comic shops one dollar box.
A new Star Wars series; Star Wars: The Screaming Citadel #1. Writer Kieron Gillen and artist Marco Checchetto.
Marvel adapts the Zombies Assemble Manga into English. Writers Jim Zub and Yusaku Komiyama (art). A Tony Moore semi-zombie cover too.
