Will the “mysterious figure” that’s been lurking around in the Amazing Spidey book finally reveal itself in Amazing Spider-Man #792? The first appearance of Maniac happens here (first full appearance). Look for sell-outs across the board on this one. Part two of the Venom Inc. story line.
Gideon made a brief “on-screen” appearance in last month’s Cable #151. This Wednesday, in Cable #152, Gideon makes his official comeback. For those of you keeping tabs, the original Gideon was last seen in X-Force #52 (2000), in which he met his demise. His first appearance was in some key issue; New Mutants #98. Someone else first appeared in that issue too, but Gideon sure has made that comic a hot one! (Sarcasm….please fanboys, breathe).
It’s Weapon X vs. Nuke Platoon in Weapon X #12. Nuke’s a neat Marvel character, underrated. His first appearance, Daredevil #232, can be snagged at a low price on Ebay if someone is not paying attention. Nuke has appeared in only 10 comics since 2010. Not used much, which is a bit disappointing.
The Punisher #219 continues the Punisher War Machine story.
Cable dies in The Despicable Deadpool #290. Hmmm……
DC introduces Immortal Men into their universe. From writer James Tynion IV and artist’ Scott Williams & Jim Lee. With DC introducing new teams and characters (The Silencer, Damage, New Challengers, Sideways) beginning here in Immortal Men #1, it’s almost a gimme that one of these characters will catch on. Maybe a team will, who knows, but something may catch so stay vigil speculators! Readers win either way.
Flash #36 starts up a new storyline, “A Cold Day In Hell” part one. Writers Joshua Williamson/Michael Moreci and artist Pop Mhan.

Show your support and give a warm welcome by checking out their comic. Welcome to the American comic book industry boys.
Rumble #1 (Image Comics); Creators John Arcudi and David Rubin.
Writer Frank Tieri continues his new hit Archie series with Jughead The Hunger #2. Tim Kennedy and Pat Kennedy are providing the visuals.

A new character could be on the horizon in Youngblood #7. That Rob Liefeld cover….sweet.
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest #1 (Titan Books); Creators Stieg Larsson, Runberg and Jose Homs.
Die Kitty Die Christmas Special (Chapterhouse Publishing); Creators Dan Parent and Fernando Ruiz.
Monstro Mechanica #1 (Aftershock Comics); Creators Paul Allor and Chris Evenhuis.
