NEW Comic Covers That Demand Attention This Week

Comic Covers That Demand Attention This Week.

New comic book covers hit the shelves this week, and as always, some stand out more than others. Whether it’s a hauntingly beautiful xenomorph moment, a savage predator basking in the aftermath of his carnage, or a symbiote looming over his next meal, these covers demand attention. One of them even took home the coveted Cover Gem of the Week title. Let’s break them down.

NEW THIS WEEK – Hot New Comics: Doom’s Reign, Vader Legacy, and MORE
NEW THIS WEEK – Cover Gem of the Week: The Amazing Spider-Man #69 – Ben Harvey
NEW THIS WEEK – Hot New Funko Pops & Collectibles: TMNT, Superman, & More

Iban Coello’s Alien Paradiso #4 came close to winning but just missed the top spot. A xenomorph gracefully suspended upside down by its tail, clutching a severed head like it’s a fragile toy, as blood trickles down onto its face—this is the kind of horror artwork that defines the Alien franchise. The balance of eerie elegance and grotesque detail makes this cover a standout.

Ben Harvey absolutely delivered on The Amazing Spider-Man #69, earning the Cover Gem of the Week. There’s something about this cover that makes it impossible to ignore, and if you’re collecting for art, this one should be on your radar. Gabriele Dell’Otto’s All-New Venom #4 keeps things stark, dark, and hauntingly beautiful. Venom looms large, with his tongue lashing out and a tiny spider sitting right in front of his monstrous face. The black-and-white aesthetic is punctuated by blood-red eyes, mouth, and tongue, making it an instant classic. This is Venom at his most intimidating.

Taurin Clarke had not one but two jaw-dropping covers this week. Deadpool #12 pits Wade Wilson against Spider-Man in an electrifying faceoff. Spider-Man is mid-air, wielding a massive lightning bolt sword, ready to bring the pain while Deadpool looks up, swords in hand, likely talking way too much for his own good. The energy crackling off this cover makes it one of the best of the week. Clarke’s second knockout piece, Sabretooth: The Dead Don’t Talk #4, takes the brutality up a notch. Sabretooth stares down at the viewer with blood-soaked hands, licking his fingers like he just finished a meal and is getting ready for seconds. His expression? Pure menace. This is Sabretooth exactly as he should be—terrifying.
