New This Week: Top Comic Book Releases from Deadpool to Scarlet Witch

This week’s InvestComics Hot Picks rolls out a smorgasbord of caped crusaders, cosmic calamities, and classic clashes, fresh from the comic forge! New comics set for release on 6-12-24.

There must be a new Deadpool movie coming out soon. Anyway, the Merc with a Mouth teams up with our favorite grumpy Canuck in Deadpool / Wolverine: WWIII #2. Stuck in a snowy wasteland, facing the ‘ENHANCED FORCES’ of THOSE WHO WATCH, our dynamic duo’s only escape is through each other. But it’s not a real party until somebody dies, right? This one’s ending in death, folks—Logan vs. Wade! Not to be outdone, Deadpool #3 ramps up the heat with Deadpool and Taskmaster facing off against Crossbones. Plus, Deadpool’s new hire might just turn the tables in ways he never expected. For those who like a twist on the classics, Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe #1 gets a facsimile reprint, showing us just how twisted our favorite Merc can be when he decides to off the entire Marvel pantheon. Giant-Size Daredevil #1 throws Daredevil into the mix with one of his deadliest foes yet—Kingpin like you’ve never seen him before, and a reprint of Daredevil #170 for those feeling nostalgic. The world of Spider-Boy #8 introduces Puzzle Man, turning Bailey’s journey into a perilous game of wit and will—a reunion might be on the cards if he survives! Scarlet Witch #1 sees Wanda facing primal forces threatening her serene haven in upstate New York. Steve Orlando and artist Jacopo Camagni dial the intensity up to eleven as chaos collides with destruction.

Don’t miss out on The Exiled #1, penned by none other than Wesley Snipes. Yes, THAT Wesley Snipes. It’s sci-fi noir meets serial killer mystery, and it’s as cool as it sounds. Image Comics delivers thrills with Plastic: Death & Dolls #1, tracing a serial killer’s love story with a… sex doll. Meanwhile, Remote Space #1 by Cliff Rathburn imagines humanity’s split evolution, and Rifters #1 throws cops Fenton and Geller into a time-traveling crime spree, courtesy of writers Brian Posehn and Joe Trohman, and artist Chris Johnson. Batman: Gotham By Gaslight – The Kryptonian Age #1 launches an Elseworlds epic where Batman contends with not just Catwoman and an assassin but emerging superhumans, broadening the 19th-century DC Universe. Lawful #1 from Boom Studios offers a modern magical tale where every mistake transforms children into monsters, penned by Greg Pak and illustrated by Diego Galindo.
