Spider-Man heads to the UK!

Letters page reveals that a Spider-Man in the UK story is on the cards, and it’s by Paul Cornell.

Back in the days before the Internet, the letters page was the only place where fans could discuss their opinions, and also find out about upcoming events, and it looks like Stephen Wacker is trying to revive that great tradition, as he’s revealed that Spider-Man is travelling to the glorious British Isles some time in the future, in reply to a letter from a Jordan Daniel in Warwickshire in Amazing Spider-Man #623’s letters page, the Wack Attack wrote:

British writer Paul Cornell and I were just talking about a Spidey in the UK story a couple of months back when I was lucky enough to attend a comic convention in Leeds. I can’t say much about it yet, but I’m very excited to see it.

I was at that convention, alongside fellow front-pages contributors King Impulse and Jubilee (he has been slacking though) and poster Dum Dum Dugan, we met Wacker and Cornell, never let it be said that the Outhouse isn’t first on the scene!

For the curious, the image that accompanies this article is from a British Spider-Man reprint title from the 70s, it was called Spider-Man Comics Weekly and came with a free mask, and only cost 5p! Bargain.
