Spike TV “Scream Awards” honors comics
Geoff Johns and Steve McNiven among the winners.
Last night, Spike TV honored the horror, sci-fi, and fantasy genres once again with their annual Scream Awards, and singled out some comic creators along the way. Geoff Johns won for "Best Comic Writer," while Steve McNiven won for "Best Comic Artist." Green Lantern was praised as "Best Comic Book," and Watchmen was awarded "Best Comic Book Movie." In addition, Stan Lee was awarded the "Comic-Con Icon Lifetime Achievement Award."
