Stuart Townsend Out as Fandral in Thor

The actor has left the cast of the upcoming Thor movie and will be replaced by Joshua Dallas.

Right as production is about to begin on Thor, actor Stuart Townsend, who was playing the role of Fandral, has been replaced. Townsend, boyfriend of actress Charlize Theron, has apparently parted ways with the producers based on "creative differences" (I.E. fired by director Kenneth Branagh). Townsend’s role as Aragorn in the Lord of the Rings trilogy suffered a similar fate, as he was replaced at the last minute by Viggo Mortensen. The change seemed to work out okay for LOTR. Thor is due in theaters on May 6th, 2011.
