Star Wars Thrawn Alliances #1Anything dealing with this character as a lead will be bought by Star Wars fans and comic fans alike. Thrawn is the villain everyone wants within the Star Wars lure. A new story here from writers Jody Houser and Timothy Zahn. Art from Patrick Olliffe and Andrea Divito. Look for the possibility of a new character popping up in this story as well as more Thrawn origin back story. Thrawn has become the new Darth Vader of this era. Something Kylo was unable to achieve.
Batman The Brave And The Bold #9 – The conclusion of The Winning Card story as Batman will battle Joker once again.
Resurrection Of Magneto #1 – Another number one Magneto story. This time we get a treat from writer Al Ewing. Art by Luciano Vecchio.
Ghost Machine #1 – *cue Pink Floyd’s ‘Welcome To The Machine’. Here’s a one-shot from Image Comics that’ll mesh a new universe together. A bunch of superstar creator names are attached here as well as a bunch of variants too. “Welcome to the Machine……”
Detective Comics #1081 – Part one of a new storyline; Elegy In Sand.
Power Pack Into The Storm #1Marvel Comics will be getting the gang back together for this comic. A gang that existed back in 1984 to be exact. Writer Louise Simonson and artist June Brigman were the original creators of The Power Pack team back in 1984. Although a moderate hit back then for a bit, the Power Pack team never met its true potential. After Disney purchased Marvel several years back, we motioned speculators to jump into the back issue dollar bins and grab the introduction issue. A few years into the Disney ownership a rumor started about Power Pack maybe seeing some screen time. It never materialized. And then the rumor happened again, and then again, and again. Most of the rumors were consistent with hopeful nonsense in the aftermarket (speculators) to sell an overprinted comic book. Far fewer than Disney themselves. We have always stayed the course and recognized the true potential of what Disney can truly do here for this team. We were the first to ever mention the possible upside here with zero hidden agenda. We didn’t have books to unload. The market caught crazy upticks on the last rumor a few years back DIRECTLY from Disney themselves, from Kevin Feige. He stated, “Power Pack is a property that we’ve been interested in for a long time.  For many years because we wanted to do something for families, something that’s a little younger, Ant-Man has kind of become that franchise, certainly with Ant-Man and the Wasp, but Power Pack still is one of the many things that we discuss, wouldn’t it be fun to do someday?” It’s been relatively quiet for a little while and with the new release this Wednesday, the natives may get restless once again to unload some more of the first issue from 84′. Before anything definite ever truly happens, have your Power Pack #1 issues in your collection. By no means is it a hard book to find. If the Power Pack Team ever became a huge commercial success, think of the Power Pack #1 comic as a New Mutants #98. A key issue that should probably be more “valuable” but isn’t due to the print run being so dang high and so readily available.
