Gold Goblin #1 – This new Spider-Man villain was introduced in Amazing Spider-Man #13 last week and presto, now in their own number-one issue. Marvel is obviously all in here, but the fan response will untimely determine how far this badly named-character will go. The usual traits have to be in place in order for us to see more Gold Goblin. Is the origin interesting enough, do they move the reader in some way, will they cause a monumental change within the hero they’re battling, in this case, Spider-Man. Of course none of this matters in the grand scheme of today’s upside-down modern market. If an app, eBay markers, video, or “speculation” site says it’s a big deal, the price bounces up and rips everyone off first before collapsing. But readers at InvestComics know better than to get caught up in that nonsense. As always, do your own homework and determine for yourself if investing your valuable time and hard-earned money is worth it. A purposeful dictated market is a red flag and any real modern or comic speculator in general sees it a mile away.
Star Wars Hidden Empire #1 – A new Star Wars story from Mr. Star Wars guru himself, Charles Soule. Charles is what Starlin was to Marvel’s cosmic universe, Pak to Planet Hulk, etc. Charles is “that” man here within the Marvel Comics Star Wars universe.
I Hate Fairyland #1 – The original series from writer Skottie Young was a big hit for Image Comics. Described as “Deadpool meets Alice In Wonderland.” The next step here is to make this a regular ongoing series. Artist Brett Bean joins in on the fun.
Iron Man #25 – Iron Man reaches its 650th issue ever. This anniversary issue will be an oversized one, with regular writer Christopher Cantwell bidding farewell.
Blade Vampire Nation #1 – Readers go into a deeper dive regarding the Vampire Nation. Blade runs the show here. Are we witnessing the start of a new Marvel Universe? A universe devoted to vampires only? Think Spider-Verse, but with vampires. Think Walking Dead, with vampires. This would be a neat concept if done right. Writer Mark Russell and artists Mico Suayan and Dave Wacher start things off.
