Superman #7 – The issue states number 7, but DC is celebrating the 850th Superman comic here. That’s a whole lot of Superman. The new release will obviously be a big deal with its extra pages and all, but it’s the first appearance brewing that has our attention. DC says there will be “secrets unleashed”. Whatever that means, we’re there for all of the 850 and its glory.
Justice League Vs. Godzilla Vs. Kong #1 – DC is all in on this silly but fun premise. In reality, our favorite heroes would be able to knock off these two big behemoths on one comic book page, but we’ll play along for the sake of make-believe. There will be a ton of variants released with the debut issue. One that caught our eye (pictured) is the BatKong suit on one cover. Is that a new suit? Oh Bruce, you make the craziest sh*t sometimes. The battle royal here will be written by Brian Buccellato and drawn by Christian Duce.
Batman Superman World’s Finest #20 – Writer Mark Waid will return to the now classic story, Kingdom Come. A miniseries that first hit in 1996, it’s been growing ever since. Comic collectors give more and more credence to that miniseries as time goes by. This issue features the return of Boy Thunder.
Deadpool Badder Blood #5 – Rob Liefeld’s (writer/artist of the entire series) latest Deadpool chapter will come to a close this week. Did you enjoy the nostalgic throwback series? Rob introduced fans to new characters and kept the issues moving. How will Rob write this series off? Will we see Rob again with new Deadpool material? Is this the official last Liefeld/Deadpool work for Marvel? We shall wait and see, but until then, it’s over for now.
The Crypt Of Shadows #1 – Halloween is definitely upon us. A new Marvel horror story starring Hulk, Daredevil, Spider-Man, Man-Thing (*snicker*), Werewolf, and Scarlet Witch. The 2nd appearance of Bloodline and first on a variant cover. (shown here).
