Here are this week’s trending comic books…
Major X #1 – This week comic collectors/readers will bear witness to the old adage “does lightning strike twice?” The 1990’s come roaring back this Wednesday as Rob Liefeld summons the first appearance of Major X in Major X #1. Much like his co-creation of Deadpool, the Major X character shows some amazing similarities. Many are a bit surprised that Marvel gave Rob Liefeld the reigns to create a new character in their universe. Two things to consider here. One, there are a non-suspicious number of variants not available. Usually a new character, a Marvel character no less, from a known creator, gets an abundance of variant covers for their introduction/first appearance number one issue, right? Not here. Not this Wednesday. Two covers. Marvel seems to be keeping things a bit close to the vest with this one. The second thing to consider is the fact Marvel gave Rob writing and art duties. Is this because Rob wouldn’t have it any other way? Has the notorious “rumored” ego crept in once again? Will this Marvel project end badly? Thus, never hearing from Major X again? All of this speculation is adhered to past performances. Just being precautious not to get into the great television series from Netflix that doesn’t renew, that’s all. Enjoy the comic for what it is, do not get too vested just yet. Major X could be a major hit, a major bust or a major one and done.

Domino: Hotshots #2 – Speaking of Deadpool, he shows up this week in this comic too. Two Rob Liefeld co-creations are together here. We presume Deadpool shows up in Major X #1 being his face is on the cover, but nonetheless, he certainly does appear in this comic. The reason this comic makes its way here? Four words; Gail Simone Deadpool Domino. David Baldeon art.
Cosmic Ghost Rider Destroys Marvel History #2 – Fanboys favorite new character messes with the Peter Parker timeline when he quit being Spider-Man. Will fans see the first Cosmic Ghost Rider Spider-Man? That name is too long, maybe a different one would suffice. Writers Paul Scheer and Nick Giovannetti. Artist Gerardo Sandoval.

The War Of The Realms #1 – A huge war will rage in all 10 realms within the Thor comic book world. The once very relevant villain Malekith (Dark World film) will become very relevant once again as he is the main culprit to ignite this war. The Marvel Universe and earth is at stake. This story, written by Jason Aaron and drawn by Russell Dauterman will be exciting and worthy of your time.
Marvel Team-Up #1 – The original Marvel Team-Up comics that began back in the early 70’s and ending in the mid 80’s gave birth of many comic collectors today. Every month was as exciting as the last, but the anticipation of waiting to read and see who were teaming up was thrilling indeed. Maybe the new series will evoke those emotions once again. The premiere issue features Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel. Writer Eve Ewing and artist Joey Vazquez start things off.
Deathstroke #42 – The Terminus Agenda enters its second part with no signs of slowing down. Damian vs. Deathstroke. Creators; Adan Glass, Christopher Priest, Jason Paz and Carlo Pagulayan.
Young Justice #4 – The continuation of the all-new Young Justice team. DC promises major secrets are revealed in this comic regarding all team members.
