Action Comics #1 sells for $1.5 million

 

 

 

 

The auction race continues, as another copy of Action Comics #1 breaks the record for most expensive comic, for the 3rd time this year.

You may remember last month that a copy of Action Comics #1, which is of course the first appearance of Superman, broke the record for most-expensive comic ever when it sold at auction for $1 million. Then a few days later a copy of Detective Comics #27, the first appearance of Batman broke that record.

And that record has been broken again today! As another copy of Action Comics #1 (there are supposed to be about 100 in existence) has sold for $1.5 million.
