OK, so the New York DAILY NEWS revealed today’s death in AvX #11, so then Marvel sent a press release. Now, it’s pretty spoilerific. In fact, the title of the press release just puts it right out there, so…don’t scroll down if you don’t want it spoiled. You’ve been warned!

Professor Xavier Makes The Ultimate Sacrifice in Avengers VS. X-Men #11, On-Sale Now!

New York, NY—September 12th, 2012—In the move that shocked and saddened comic book fans worldwide, beloved super hero Professor Charles Xavier meets his demise today in Avengers VS. X-Men #11.
