This week’s new comic covers arrive with serious attitude, visual chaos, and more sharp edges than a Black Friday toy aisle. Whether it’s rooftop warriors waiting for their cue, symbiotic web baskets carrying oddball passengers, or explosive mutant face-offs—these covers dare you to judge them by their art. With 12 total pieces making the list, each one delivers its own brand of collector-worthy speculation and display shelf dominance. Let’s break them down—because judging covers is half the fun and sometimes half the value.
Ultimate Spider-Man #18 by Terry Dodson is giving us a rare web-swinging family vacation moment. Spidey’s up in the clouds, one arm carrying MJ and their kid, while the other holds a web hammock transporting Squirrel Girl like it’s the weirdest Uber ride imaginable. It’s sentimental chaos, wrapped in nostalgia and string. Giant-Size Age of Apocalypse #1 by Kael Ngu plants us directly beneath Magneto and Rogue, in case we forgot how dangerous it is to stand under either of them when they’re in a bad mood. Rogue’s clenched fists scream confrontation, while Magneto’s glowing hand suggests someone’s about to get airborne without consent. Simone Di Meo delivers the second variant, a jagged, kinetic showdown featuring Wolverine unhinged and right in the middle of slicing through whatever’s left standing. Absolute Wonder Woman #1 (6th print), Mark Spears shows our Amazon crouched like a predator on high ground, sword balanced on her shoulder as she glares off to the side like she’s counting down to violence. Absolute Wonder Woman #9, Inhyuk Lee ups the stakes by tossing three dead red dragons at her feet. With a sword as long as your comic backlog and a stare that judges your pull list, she owns the scene from a stone platform with effortless rage. Medieval Spawn #3 from Jonathan Uribe is blood, arrows, and a skull-knee-capped cape in the snowstorm of battle. Spawn’s got an arrow in his leg and doesn’t even blink. His shield is dented and bloody, but his blade’s ready. One of those covers where you start speculating on whether this version has more staying power than your current favorite.

The Vision & The Scarlet Witch #2 arrives with a double feature. Pablo Villalobos goes full mystic glam with Wanda in the foreground casting chaos while Vision glows behind her like the eerie synth husband he is. Jay Anacleto brings the romance with a mid-air embrace surrounded by floating rose petals. It’s tender and otherworldly—just like their entire marriage arc. Spider-Man & Wolverine #2 Kaare Andrews shows up like it’s still 1996 and nobody told him otherwise. That’s a compliment. This throwback cover captures every chaotic line, wild pose, and kinetic splash we loved about the era. Superman #27 by Dan Mora gives us a quiet gut-punch. The Man of Steel cradles Lois Lane’s body, and his face says it all—vengeance is next. The suspects literally stand behind him like a lineup of regret. You know this one’s going in the “possible spec” pile just for the emotional weight alone. Fantastic Four #33 from Ron Lim makes sure we never forget the true origin of the Force Choke. Doctor Doom extends his hand while Johnny Storm grabs his throat mid-air. Doom’s not even sweating. You know this was personal.
