Cover Gems Of The Week 12-3-25
This week’s Trending Pop Culture hot covers don’t just show off power — they practically shove your face into it. Each artist comes at the idea of “heroic escalation” with their own flavor of chaos; whether it’s a Lantern igniting like she’s plugged directly into the emotional spectrum, or Hulk reminding everyone that subtlety was never in his contract. These aren’t just pretty covers — they’re intimidation pieces. Wall-posters that dare you to look away first. Good luck.

ABSOLUTE GREEN LANTERN #9 — Cover by Bengal
Bengal goes full “ascension ritual” here, framing the Lantern like she’s being supercharged by cosmic jumper cables. Her head is tilted back into the light source, swallowed by the glow as if the ring is rewriting her entire nervous system on the spot. The torn jeans, cropped Lantern tee, and leather jacket give her an I-didn’t-dress-for-this energy, but that only makes the visual hit harder — she’s not posing, she’s enduring. Her braid snaps upward, caught in the surge like it’s being pulled toward orbit. Bengal uses that overwhelming green light to erase detail from her face, turning her into a silhouette of raw willpower, someone being remade rather than just powering up. The cover practically hums.

HULK SMASH EVERYTHING #1 — Cover by Mark Brooks
Mark Brooks understands two things about Hulk: he’s loud, and he’s coming straight for you. Instead of pretending otherwise, Brooks literally builds the cover out of the words “Hulk Smash Everything,” then has Hulk tear through them like the typography personally offended him. The debris flies forward with perspective-punch clarity, the kind of cover that makes you instinctively lean back so your nose doesn’t become part of the shrapnel. Hulk’s face is exactly what collectors want — wide-eyed fury, teeth bared, the promise that something is about to go very wrong for someone. The anatomy is classic Brooks: hyper-controlled, exaggerated enough to sell the moment but never sloppy. This is Hulk in full demolition mode, and Brooks choreographs the chaos beautifully.
