Barends made his mark in the comic industry with his unique style and ability to capture the essence of characters and their emotions. His breakthrough came with Marvel Comics in 2021; Venom #1 (Frankie’s Comic Edition variant). Fans adored this cover and catapulted him into the spotlight. This success paved the way for a prolific career in the comics world thus far.
