CYBORG SUPERMAN to make NEW 52 debut

On the DC website, EIC Bob Harras teased this image of CUBORG SUPERMAN by Kenneth Rocafort.  IN the original DCU, Cyborg Superman was Hank Henshaw, originally a Reed Richards analogue who became one of the four replacement Supermen after Doomsday “killed” the original.  In the NEW 52, henshaw (non-cyborg-ified) has appeared in the pages of the all-too-brief series TEAM 7. Will this Cyborg be Henshaw? Someone new? Harras doesn’t say, but he does tease the following:

Some of you might remember the last time a Cyborg Superman showed up. Would we dare revisit such a classic storyline? Hmmm. Well, never say never, right? As I’ve been telling you, all bets are off. Everything’s on the table.

Sorry to make your head explode on a Friday, but enjoy Kenneth Rocafort’s lovely sketch in the meantime. We’ll be in the conference room discussing … oh, never mind.
Happy Friday,
Bob

  1. The concept drawing of this looks fantastic. So many possibilities here and it looks like a retractable arm that may give life to the panels on the pages. Awesome.

    1. I’m hoping the story/concept live up to the art, but yeah, ComicLord, the potential here is pretty staggering!
