Does John Cusack Want to Star in Preacher?

The 2012 actor has expressed interest in a project that sounds an awful lot like Preacher.

Not much has been heard of the Preacher film project since director Sam Mendes announced the script was halfway done in May. However, in an interview with MTV News , John Cusack let on that he was attempting to attach himself into a mysterious comic book project floating around Hollywood, with a description that sounds a lot like Garth Ennis’s comic:

"It’s a vampire and a killer, and they’re on the road, and it’s this really strange story," said Cusack.

Asked whether it "Preacher" he was thinking of, Cusack said, "I
think it might have been ‘Preacher,’" and added that he was "trying to"
get involved with the long-in-development project.

Cusack apparently would like to play one of the leads in the movie, saying it would either be "the vampire or the priest." Sounds good to us, as long as the movie makes it to the screen before the end of the world, or the sequel to the end of the world.
