Green Light for Green Lantern
The Green Lantern movie has received the official green light and will begin filming in ten weeks.
Green Lantern is already slated for a June 17 2010 debut, but it was waiting for the final official green light before filming could begin. According to effects supervisor Karen Goulekas, the green light for the movie, starring Ryan Reynolds, which will contain over 1300 special effects shots, came just yesterday. She posted this in her blog:
Wow! Been a long time since I posted! But today is a day worth posting about!
Green Lantern got the official green light today! And not a second too soon – only 10 weeks out from shooting!
While it’s great news we are a go – now we have to actually get our prep done in 10 weeks!
DOH!
But we have an amazing crew – so we will make it happen!
