Greg Capullo provides all-new cover to the Image founder crossover, Image United!

Famed Spawn and Haunt illustrator Greg Capullo covers the crossover event of the century, Image United!

14 December 2009 (Berkeley, CA) – IMAGE UNITED’s second issue will welcome HAUNT and SPAWN artist Greg Capullo to the fold as he joins the Image founders with a one-time variant cover featuring the entire cast up against the series’ dreaded villain, Omega Spawn!

"When it came time to choose an artist for our next guest variant, Greg Capullo was the first guy who came to mind," Image Comics Publisher Eric Stephenson said. "From his early days following Todd on SPAWN to his creator-owned series CREECH and his work on HAUNT, Greg has become nearly as synonymous with Image Comics as any of the founders. Besides that, he’s also a phenomenal cover artist in his own right. We’re thrilled to have him on board."

Greg Capullo’s cover features the heroes of IMAGE UNITED combating the series’ big bad, Omega Spawn, as reflected in the miniseries’ shocking opener. Retailers can order as many copies of the color version as they wish, but there will also be a limited edition 1:100 version of the cover in pristine black and white, available to qualifying accounts.

IMAGE UNITED #2, a 32-page full color comic book for .99, will be in-stores December 23 2009. Both Capullo covers, including the full color (OCT098185) and 1:100 black and white (OCT098186), have a Final Order Cutoff of December 17th 2009.
